LEGO Technic 42115 Lamborghini Sian FKP 37 is LEGO’s next drool-inducing supercar
LEGO today finally unveiled (in quite dramatic fashion) one of the most anticipated Technic sets of 2020 – 42115 Lamborghini Sian FKP 37.
LEGO’s newest Technic Supercar follows in the trail blazed by Porsche 911 GT3 RS and Bugatti Chiron, two immensely popular and highly detailed sets adored by LEGO motorheads.
Coming in at 3,696 pieces, the Technic Lamborghini Sian will be priced at US$379.99 / AU$569.99 and will be released worldwide on 1 June 2020 at LEGO.com, or at your local LEGO Brand Retail store, before a wider release on 1 August 2020.

The Lamborghini Sian FKP 37 is the Italian carmaker’s first hybrid supercar, and was unveiled last year at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
Unless you’re a wealthy oil baron or Russian oligarch, it’s almost guaranteed that you’ll never get the keys to a Sian as only 63 will be made, so this Technic set is the closest you’ll probably get to the real thing.
But hey, if you have US$3.6 million to burn and an existing purchase history with Lamborghini, why not spring for the real deal.
I’m unsure about how I feel about this set. First of all, the Lime Green paint job doesn’t sit well with me. A Lime Green Lamborghini makes me think of the Huracan or Aventador.
From the reveal at Frankfurt, I was really hoping for a more subdued hue of green, and was actually expecting an Olive Green colour, which I think would look super sick and unique.
I think LEGO have absolutely nailed the narrow aerodynamic profile of the Sian. It just screams luxury supercar, and I really enjoy how it gently curves downwards towards its nose.
There doesn’t seem to be a Technic element out of place, and it just looks so visually appealing how smooth the model looks.
Here’s a look at the back, and where the engine is located.
The back is a bit of a miss for me, as it looks quite messy and doesn’t quite capture the unique lines, angles and overall profile. I can see what the designers have set out to achieve, but there isn’t enough “black-space” and way too much lime green in the back.
The front is equally quite divisive. I like that they got the lights and sharp nose right.
Directly looking at the Sian from the front is a completely different story. The hood looks weird, and there’s too much “black space”, especially on the fringes near the lights, with a massive gap in between the panels.
It just doesn’t look quite right to me, and it feels like the Technic design team didn’t quite hit the mark, unlike the Porsche 911 and the Bugatti Chiron which are exceptional Technic supercars.
Anyway, those are my first impressions of the LEGO Technic Lamborghini Sian based on the press photos. It’s hard to tell, and the real completed model might be drastically different in-hand.
For car fans looking to sink their teeth into a new, highly detailed supercar model, the Lambo Sian will definitely scratch that itch, especially if you want to drop a massive stack of cash on a Technic set.
I’m unsure if I’ll buy this one. Like the Bugatti, I don’t have a strong emotional connection to the brand – if LEGO produce a McLaren or Pagani, that’d be a different story, but if I’m able to get this as a decent discount (approx $400), I might bite.
The LEGO Technic Lamborghini Sian will be released worldwide on 1 June from LEGO.com.
