Guide to the new LEGO The Eternals sets coming October 2021

Just in time after the final trailer for Marvels’ The Eternals, Yahoo Entertainment has given us a first look at the new LEGO Eternals sets which are set to be released on 1 October 2021, ahead of The Eternals’ premiere date on 5 November.

There will be 4 sets from this wave, and in true LEGO Marvel Super Heroes form, you’ll have to collect them all to get the entire main cast of The Eternals.

I’ve bolded all minifigures that are exclusives to that particular set.

And in case you needed a guide of who is playing who in this star-studded ensemble cast, here are the actors and characters:

  • Ikaris – Richard Madden
  • Sersi – Gemma Chan
  • Ajak – Salma Hayek
  • Thena – Angelina Jolie
  • Gilgamesh – Don Lee
  • Mikkari – Lauren Ridloff
  • Kingo – Kumail Nanjiani
  • Sprite – Lia McHugh
  • Phatstos – Brian Tyree Henry
  • Druig – Barry Keoghan

A notable name missing from this list, and also from the minifigures included in the set is Game of Thrones’ Kit Harrington, who plays Dane Whitman, a hero known as Black Knight. So far, his identity, and role has been kept heavily under wraps, but I’m expecting him to be given a pretty huge role due to this star power.

LEGO 76145 Eternals’ Aerial Assault – 133 pieces

Minifigures: Sprite, Ikaris

76145 Eternals’ Aerial Assault – US$9.99 / AU$17.99 / £8.99

Your standard entry-level LEGO Marvel set, 76145 Eternals’ Aerial Assault comes with a Sprike and Ikaris minifigure, which will be great for those wanting to dip their toes into The Eternals theme.

The mech-like, deviant with elaborate wings also looks to be a pretty fun build, and this set looks to be very playable for a US$9.99 set.

LEGO 76154 Deviant Ambush! – 197 pieces

Minifigures: Thena, Makkari, Gilgamesh

76154 Deviant Ambush! – US$24.99 / AU$32.99 / £17.99

Thena, Gilgamesh, and Makkari are under attack from a 6-legged, biting Deviant! The 3 Eternals have amazing powers – Thena can summon weapons, Gilgamesh has super-strength and Makkari runs faster than the speed of sound. Will they overcome the evil Deviant? Only you can decide. Plus… if you collect LEGO minifigures, this awesome playset is the only one to feature Gilgamesh!

This small set includes 3 Eternals – Thena, Makkari and Gilgamesh along with a large beast-like Deviant as their adversary.

The Deviant’s build looks a little underwhelming, but at the very least you get 3 great minifigures in Thena, Makkari and Gilgamesh. I especially love Makkari’s new hairpiece and the diverse skin tones included.

76155 In Arishem’s Shadow – 493 pieces

Minifigures: Ajak, Kingo, Ikaris, Sersi

76155 In Arishem’s Shadow – US$59.99 / AU$119.99 / £59.99

When Sersi, Ikaris, Kingo, and Ajak take on an evil Deviant, anything can happen! Sersi transforms matter into… anything, Ikaris has superhuman strength, Kingo fires energy, and Ajak communicates with Celestials. Arishem, the Celestials’ leader may even join the battle with a stud-shooter in each hand. If you collect LEGO minifigures, this awesome set is the only one to feature Ajak and Kingo.

This is the one for LEGO mech-lovers, with the absolutely bonkers Arishem, a Celestial known as the Killer of Planets.

You get a healthy mix of minifigures too, including Ajak and Kingo who are exclusive to the set, and Ikaris and Sersi, who are the 2 main protagonists of the movie.

Arishem’s legs are pretty interesting, and I’m not too sure how I feel about those Technic feet, which are no doubt required to give it some stability.

76156 Rise of the Domo – 1040 pieces

Minifigures: Phastos, Makkari, Druig, Sersi, Thena, Ikaris

76156 Rise of the Domo – US$89.99 / AU$179.99 / £89.99

Explore The Eternals’ spaceship with Makkari, Ikaris, Thena, Sersi, Druig and Phastos. Open the sides to access the interior. Check out the cockpit, the weapons room, and the lab, but when the leader of the Deviants arrives with his accomplice, it’s time to take the spaceship into battle! Plus… if you collect The Eternals LEGO minifigures, this set is the only one to feature Druig and Phastos!

The largest set of the wave is Rise of the Domo, which comes with 6 minifigures, which gives you most of The Eternals in one set.

The oddly shaped spacecraft is certainly quite an intriguing set, and it opens up for some additional playability, but I feel like this is potentially the weakest set of the wave. At least you get a nice selection of minifigures, although only Druig and Phastos is truly exclusive to the set.

What do you think of The Eternals sets? I’m excited about the movie, but these don’t really stand out to me, apart from the minifigures

Hi Jay, thanks for your article. Any chance you have confirmed the $AUD RRP for all sets? I note you have the AUD price for the first two sets, but not the last two. Many thanks in advance.

Is it just me, or does one of the figures in Rise of the Domo look like He Who Remains? I believe it’s supposed to be Phastos, but the parts could be useful for customisers.

I probably won’t get any of these sets, but I like how they’re different from the usual Avengers-based sets. They have a similar vibe to the original GOTG sets… ah if only we got some more Infinity Saga sets based on those movies.
