LEGO Stranger Things and Looney Tunes Brickheadz revealed!

Fresh off the LEGO Instructions portal, LEGO have given us our very first look at two upcoming Brickheadz sets – 40559 Road Runner & Wile E. Coyote, and 40549 Demogorgon & Eleven!

Update: Check out my review of 40559 Road Runner and Wile E Coyote!

The LEGO Brickheadz theme continues to expand, adding Stranger Things and Looney Tunes to its list of licenses.

Update: we now have confirmed pricing, release date and LEGO.com listings! Both these Brickheadz will be released on 1 February from LEGO.com and will retail for US$19.99 each.

There aren’t any release dates yet, but as these thumbnails are now loaded, I think it’s safe to expect them in February or March.

40559 Road Runner & Wile E. Coyote

It’s great to see that the Looney Tunes Collectible Minifigures isn’t the end of LEGO’s relationship with Looney Tunes, and we get the iconic pair of Wile E. Coyote and his nemesis Road Runner in Brickheadz form.

I think they look great, and it’s nice that LEGO haven’t defaulted to Bugs Bunny for their first Brickheadz, although I wouldn’t be surprise if we get Bugs and Daffy down the line as well.

It doesn’t look like there are printed elements for these two Brickheadz which is a shame, but for the most part, they look super adorable and there’s no mistaking their designs as well!

40549 Demogorgon & Eleven

Fresh off the recent retirement of the 75810 The Upside Down set, but ahead of the upcoming 4th Season of Netflix hit, Stranger things is 40549 Demogorgon & Eleven, which gives us a great combination of protagonist Eleven, and antagonist/freaky monster The Demogorgon.

Printed elements abound here, and I especially like the Demogorgon’s Nexo Shields with teeth! I really hope they’re printed as they look like stickers once you zoom in. Looks like printed tiles to me!

40553 Woody and Bo Peep

Also included in yesterday’s update are new images of the Toy Story Brickheadz 40553 Woody and Bo Peep, which are also due on 1 February 2021.

2022 looks to be a great year for Brickheadz fans, and I hope we’ll get more properties and licenses outside of established Disney and Star Wars Brickheadz characters!

The Stranger Things BrickHeadz look pretty disappointing, the MOCs currently available look much better.
Eleven looks too generic and I don’t like the use of the stickers for the Demogorgon’s teeth, this was solved better in the MOCs I have seen so far.

I do like the Looney Tunes characters though.

Looney Tunes DO have printed pieces – the eyes. They just don’t have anything exclusive.
