LEGO 76208 The Goat Boat from Thor Love and Thunder revealed!

Last night, Marvel and LEGO revealed 76208 The Goat Boat from the upcoming Thor sequel – Thor Love and Thunder which is set to be released on 8 July 2022!

The 564-piece set, which depicts a classic Viking-inspired longboat, pulled by a pair of brick-built goats, Toothgnasher and Toothgrinder, which are loosely based on Tanngrisnir and Tanngnjóstr from Norse mythology.

76208 The Goat Boat has a release date of 26 April 2022, and will retail for US$49.99 / AU$79.99 and it’ll be available from LEGO.com, as well as most general toy retailers.

See below for regional pricing and links:

The set comes with 5 minifigures – Jane Foster as Mighty Thor, Thor, King Valkyrie, Korg, and Gorr the God Butcher, a new villain played by Christian Bale.

The selection is pretty good for a set at this size and price point, as you’re getting nearly all 5 main characters from Thor Love and Thunder! Most people will be excited to see Jane Foster’s Mighty Thor all decked out in a winged helm, and with Mjolnir, but I’m most excited for Korg in a more traditional outfit.

Interestingly, on the box art, we also get our very first look at Jane Foster’s appearance in the movie – she looks incredibly bad-ass and can’t wait to see her re-introduced back into the MCU.

The two legendary goats Toothgnasher and Toothgrinder are brick-built, with printed curved slopes for the face. With so much hype around LEGO Goats (which are worth about $100 a pop now), this seems like a particularly cruel tease from LEGO, but they don’t look half bad, if a little goofy.

The boat design is pretty neat, especially if you’re a fan of Norse/Viking longboats – with some great colours, shields on the side, and an interior that swivels open.

I think the set, while being a little on the pricier side does a great job considering its size, and most importantly, cast of minifigures which instantly gives you all the characters you want from Thor Love and Thunder.
