Great Scott!! Here’s the official reveal of LEGO 10300 Back to the Future Delorean!
“Wait a minute, Doc. Are you telling me you built a Time Machine…Out of LEGO“
Update: Check out my review of the LEGO Back to the Future Delorean!
Introducing what is going to be one of the most exciting LEGO sets of 2022 (and we’re only in March) – the LEGO 10300 Back to the Future Time Machine!
You can now build and own an ultra-detailed LEGO model of the beloved Delorean from Back to the Future, when it releases globally on LEGO.com on 1 April 2022 (not an April Fool’s Joke).
Oh, and the best part, you can choose between Back to the Future, Back to the Future 2, and Back to the Future 3 versions of the Delorean!
The 1872-piece LEGO Back to the Future Time Machine will retail for US$169.99 / AU$269.99 / £149.99 and will be available exclusively from LEGO.com or your local LEGO store.
See below for regional pricing and links:
- 10300 Back to the Future Time Machine [US] – US$169.99
- 10300 Back to the Future Time Machine [AUS] – AU$269.99
- 10300 Back to the Future Time Machine [UK] – £149.99
- 10300 Back to the Future Time Machine [EU] – €169.99
- 10300 Back to the Future Time Machine [CA] – CAD$219.99
Here are all 3 different models of the Delorean that you can build – so you can choose from the classic 1985 movie version, or the slightly modified ones from 1989 or 1990 sequels – the choice is yours!
Personally, I love the original, but can also be convinced by the Back to the Future 3 version.
LEGO’s newest pop-culture and movie-themed vehicle follows on the footsteps of 2020’s 10274 Ghostbusters Ecto-1, but also (rightfully) includes minifigures this time, with Marty McFly and Doc Brown in their Back to the Future 2 outfits.
Doc Brown is attired in his yellow suit, with the aluminium visors, and Marty McFly has his trademark red vest. If you look at his legs closely, you’ll also see that he’s wearing the self-lacing Nike Mags from the movie!
A UCS-style plaque is also included, and does not include the word “Delorean” on it.
The set is also littered with plenty of references to the movies, such as a light-up flux capacitor, a box of plutonium, and Marty’s hoverboard.
It’s an sensational set, and if you’re a pop culture or movie buff, a huge step up from the 2013 LEGO Cuusoo version, and is packed with display presence.

In addition, the LEGO Group went back to where it all started – the famous Backlot at Universal Studios in Hollywood, where Back to the Future was filmed, to capture the three LEGO models alongside the original DeLorean Time Machine as seen in the films.
Check out the photos of the LEGO Delorean alongside the original Delorean from the movies. Enjoy these seriously cool shots!
The LEGO 10300 Back to the Future Time Machine goes on sale on LEGO.com on 1 April 2022 worldwide.
I was lucky enough to receive a review copy from LEGO, so keep an eye out for my review soon!
In the meantime, take a closer look at the box, and see how my review copy was slightly smashed in transit! The car is fine, thankfully!
