10497 Galaxy Explorer alternate model instructions now available for download

It’s the 1st of August which means price increases (boooo!), but also a whole bunch of new LEGO sets released (yay!), and probably the most exciting release for a lot of Classic Space fans is the return of the almighty 10497 Galaxy Explorer!

Check out all the new August releases for a guide of what’s being released!

Now that it’s the 1st of August, I am now permitted to share the instructions for the alternate builds for 10497 Galaxy Explorer – you can not only assemble the remake of the classic 497/928 Galaxy Explorer, but also have the options of building updated versions of 924 Space Cruiser, and 918 One Man Spaceship!

You can access instructions for both models (courtesy of The LEGO Group) via this Google Drive folder or the LEGO Instructions portal, so if you’ve already got 10497 Galaxy Explorer in your hands, or are eagerly awaiting for the postman to show up with it, here’s your chance to choose which Classic Space icon you can build on your first try.

For a closer look at the 2 different 10497 Galaxy Explorer Alternate builds, check out this post where I built both versions.

In case you missed it, be sure to also check out my reviews of 1 August releases that I’ve shared in recent weeks!

Are you picking up any of the August sets? Let me know what you ordered in the comments!

Hello, does anyone have the complete list of bricks to take to integrate the 10497 set in order to build the new LL924 and new LL 918?
    Surely 2×63234329, 1×6302718, 6×6057487, plus???

Interesting! Makes me wonder if there will be official alternate builds of Lion Knights Castle. I understand if you can’t even ADDRESS my comment, but based on this post, I’ll be sure to keep an even closer eye on your blog around the time that the set comes out 🙂

Mine arrive today. Can’t wait to build it this weekend. I remember wanting the original kit so bad as a kid… big kid in me is excited to finally get to build it.
