Three LEGO Medieval Castles come together to form the Falcon Fortress, inspired by Lion Knights’ Castle!

You’re probably tired of hearing this now, but 2022 is a banner year for LEGO Castle fans, thanks to the triumphant debut of 10305 Lion Knights Castle, the return of Forestmen, cute little Knights of the Yellow Castle that LEGO Castle builders are just drowning in inspiration.

One such builder is Jordan DeVries, who has mashed three Creator 3-in-1 Medieval Castles together (plus about US$100 additional PAB and Bricklinked parts!) to create the Falcon Fortress!

Jordan is a really great MOC builder, and you can follow his work on Instagram @theastralbricks or website.

Jordan was inspired by so many aspects of the new Lion Knights’ Castle, including it’s more organic, curved footprint, the clever bending balcony, the residence that splits in half – but he personally prefers the more ornate ‘fairy tale’ style of the Medieval 3-1 castle.

The colours here work incredibly well, and I also really like the generous helping of foliage, giving it a very organic appearance that looks like the castle walls are in combat with nature.

Like Lion Knights’ Castle (and many Castles preceding it!), it also folds, and the tallest tower is deliberately positioned to be centered behind the main gatehouse, giving it an extra burst of height.

And yes, just like Lion Knights’ Castle, the has a dollhouse look, with plenty of interior rooms packed with life in the Falcon Fortress.

The interiors feature a banquet hall, kitchen, waterwheel-powered mill, sleeping chambers, throne room, library, forge, dungeon, armory, stables, potion rooms, and secret hideaways.

This waterwheel is poured by a mysterious water source internal to the castle. Overhanging the wheel is the same bendable balcony-to-bridge used in the Lion Knights’ castle.

Check out a video of the Falcon Fortres below for more closeups!

This is Jordan’s second attempt at expanding the Medieval Castle, be sure to also check out his 2x Medieval Castle design – Black Falcon Knights Castle.

For those of you enjoying all the new LEGO Castle related content, or if you’ve been newly introduced (or re-introduced) to the wonderful world of LEGO Castle thanks to 10305 Lion Knights Castle, I hope this inspires you to build, expand and tinker with LEGO’s latest Castle selection!
