LEGO House exclusive Dinosaurs (40366) now available online (UK, Ireland and Denmark only)

Good news for LEGO fans who happen to live in the United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland or Denmark – the LEGO House Dinosaurs (40366), which is a LEGO House exclusive is now available to purchase online from LEGO.com

This particular set was previously only available for purchase at the LEGO House, in Billund Denmark, so this is a rare occurrence to pick one up, if you happen to be in the UK, Denmark or Republic of Ireland.

Update: Seems like it’s not currently available in Ireland. Hopefully it gets loaded up soon.

Stock will be extremely limited, so I’d jump on this immediately if you can! As a bonus, you’ll also net the  40562 Mystic Witch GWP if you spend over £100 / €100 / 745 DKK online!

It’s a shame that these aren’t as widely available, but according to LEGO, this particular set’s packaging and building instructions does not have the right legal requirements necessary for distribution in many other countries around the world.

Likely, it doesn’t have the necessary warning labels etc that are required by most countries, hence the very limited distribution this time.

40366 LEGO House Dinosaurs was previously a retired set, and in my visit to Denmark, these weren’t available on sale at The LEGO House shop, so this is a great time to pick it up if you can.

If you are planning on ordering this set, please consider using these affiliate links as I may receive a small commission with each purchase.

    For those how wonder:

“The LEGO House exclusive sets were produced with the intention of only being sold in the LEGO House Store in Billund, DK. As such, the packaging and building instructions for these sets do not contain the legal requirements necessary for distribution in many other countries around the world. Due to this, distribution of LEGO House Dinosaurs will be limited to Denmark, UK, and Ireland.”.

I don’t understand things like this. Why wouldn’t you just make it available to purchase everywhere? Don’t they want money? I’d buy one, but I guess I won’t, because I can’t. That’s so dumb.

Yeah, it’s pretty frustrating but it’s due to packaging requirements and these particular sets not having the required warning disclosures to be legally sold outside those countries.

  3. Good post. I absolutely love this site. Thanks!

Went live on Oct 20 @ €85.00 in Ireland. Not a bad price.

I was lucky enough to score this courtesy of a family member with Danish contacts, and it is cool to have a “Lego House exclusive”, but I don’t think I would have bought it as a regular set. I wonder if Lego is going to follow this up with the other sets in this range – I’d love to complete the collection and unfortunately I don’t think i’ll be travelling from Australia to Billund any time soon.

Not very fair to the rest of the world and blaming it on packaging requirements is a really lame excuse. Producing a new box and instructions does not sound like an insurmountable task. The end effect: Lego is limiting their audience (and profits) and empowering scalpers. Based on the Bricklink collaboration, printed instructions are optional anyway.

Jay, looks like Lego Ideas is doing another collaboration with Target: https://ideas.lego.com/blogs/a4ae09b6-0d4c-4307-9da8-3ee9f3d368d6/post/315fc60d-cbaf-4421-99df-c8b1a00351d1. Not sure if you report on this (or have a report in the works)?
