Din Djarin finally gets a LEGO Darksaber in 75361 Spider Tank
LEGO Star Wars has a really interesting drip-feed reveal for The Mandalorian Season 3 sets with the official reveal of 75361 Spider Tank
Following on from last week’s look at 75346 Snub Fighter and 75363 The Mandalorian’s N-1 Starfighter Microfighter, we now have our look at 75361 Spider Tank, which featured heavily in the 2nd episode of Season 3 of The Mandalorian where Din Djarin, Bo Katan and Grogu explore the Mines of Mandalore.
75361 Spider Tank has a release date of 1 August 2023, and can now be pre-ordered from LEGO.com in North America/Europe.
75361 Spider Tank – US$49.99 / AU$84.99 / £46.99 / €52,99 / CAD$64.99
Most excitingly about this 526-piece set is the long-awaited debut of a proper Darksaber hilt, which Din Djarin wields to fend off the spider robot!
A proper Darksaber has been a long-time request from LEGO Star Wars fans, and its previous appearance in the N-1 Starfighter set as a simple black lightsaber rod left much to be desired. Rest assured, Mandalorian fans can finally rejoice at the inclusion of this proper accessory.
Bo-Katan Kryze is also included in the set, and she’s also had some slight cosmetic upgrades with the inclusion of arm-prints, making this the most detailed Bo-Katan minifigure yet.
The Spider Tank itself looks great, and the designers have done a remarkable job getting this menacing Spider Robot from Chapter 18: The Mines of Mandalore translated into LEGO form, although it remains to be seen if there’s a tinier eye-ball robot on the inside that can jump out.
Lots of grey, but that’s par for the course for LEGO Star Wars, and the designers are hoping that fans will be distracted by the awesome new Darksaber element. The set is a little pricey, but hopefully the Spider Tank is larger than it looks in the photos, and at the very least it looks like a fun build.
Still at US$50, a pretty price to pay for a Darksaber!
75361 Spider Tank will be released on 1 August 2023, and can now be pre-ordered from LEGO.com in North America/Europe.
