LEGO 43222 Disney Castle is an enchanting 4837-piece celebration of Disney’s 100th anniversary
LEGO and Disney have announced 43222 Disney Castle, an all-new LEGO Disney Castle designed to celebrate Disney’s 100th anniversary.
The 2023 version of the LEGO Disney Castle weighs in at 4,837 pieces and will retail for US$399.99 / AU$599.99 / £344.99. It will be available exclusively from LEGO.com or your local LEGO store and has a release date of 1 July 2023 for LEGO VIPs, ahead of a 4 July general release.
The 2023 LEGO Disney Castle also comes with eight minifigures, featuring Cinderella and Prince Charming, Snow White and Prince Florian, Tiana and Prince Naveen, as well as Rapunzel and Flynn Rider, a great collection of iconic Disney Princesses spanning Disney’s history, and their male counterparts.
See below for regional pricing and product page links:
- 43222 Disney Castle [US] – US$399.99
- 43222 Disney Castle [AUS] – AU$599.99
- 43222 Disney Castle [UK] – £344.99
- 43222 Disney Castle [EU] – €399.99

To celebrate the launch and Disney’s 100th anniversary, LEGO will also be releasing an exclusive Disney 100 Years Celebration gift with purchase (GWP) for those that spend over US$100 / £95 / €100 on LEGO Disney sets from LEGO.com or at a LEGO store. The set features a podium, a movie screen, projector (which lights up), a desk and an exclusive Mickey Mouse minifigure.
This is a stunning model, and features an all-new exterior colour, which matches the Disney 100 appearance of the castle at Disney World Florida, which has been refreshed to celebrate Disney’s centennary.
It’s a gorgeous display model that measures 80cm (31″) call, 59cm (23″) wide and 33cm (13″) deep making this the ultimate LEGO Disney castle to display.
The big drawcard of the set of course, are the new Disney princesses, with Cinderella, Snow White and Rapunzel making their debut as LEGO minifigures, as well as their male counterparts, which makes this almost a must-own for diehard Disney fans.
Of course, for most Disney fans, a big consideration for this set is 71040 Disney Castle, released in 2016 and only just recently retired.
Aesthetically, the Castle is still mostly the same, with the biggest difference being more golden accents, as well as the new light nougat towers and turrets, as well as the new minifigure lineup.
For those that missed out on the 2016 Disney Castle, this is a huge upgrade and well worth buying, but if you already have the original, unless you can afford it, I don’t think it’s very practical to display two enormous LEGO Disney Castles simultaneously.
The 2023 Disney Castle has an open back featuring plenty of rooms, references to other iconic Disney characters and films and is jam-packed with details.
Here’s a look at some of the features and interesting details.
For a set at this price range and scale, you can expect a massive and gorgeous display model that’s fit to be a LEGO Disney centerpiece, as well as a home for your LEGO Disney minifigures, especially the new Disney 100 Minifigures
