And the winner of the Valentine’s Day 2016 giveaway is…
I hope that you had a fantastic Valentine’s Day! It’s now time to announce the winner of the first Jay’s Brick Blog Valentine’s Day giveaway and boy, did I have a difficult time picking a winner!
In case you’re new here, I held a small giveaway last week where I asked my readers to submit photos of “minifigs in love” to win a copy of this year’s Valentine’s Day seasonal set – the Cupid Dog.
I was blown away by all the entries that came in! There were some really heartwarming ones, creative ones and some funny ones as well. I also appreciate those of you who sent in your stories about the photos, which were all lovely to read.
So without further ado, the winner of the Valentine’s Day giveaway and Cupid Dog set is… *cue drumroll*
I-May for this absolutely stunning photo of Mr and Mrs Claus enjoying a frosty treat in spring! This is such a lovely photo and also very touching at the same time. I really liked Mrs Claus facing Mr Claus as this photo was snapped – almost as if she was worried that Santa would get ice cream all over his white beard.
Congratulations I-May, you’ve won yourself a copy of 40201 Valentine’s Cupid Dog! I’ll be in touch with you soon via email to arrange delivery!
I’ve also selected an international reader’s entry who will receive one mystery minifigure.
Congratulations Laniemon on this heartwarming entry , aptly titled Homecoming. It was very sweet and tugged at my heartstrings hard!
Also…as a special bonus, since I was inundated with so many entries, I decided to give out 2 more consolation prizes, who will each win a collectible minifigure!
Congratulations to Brad R for this really funny, yet oddly touching minifig couple! I might have a strange sense of humour, but I really chuckled at this one!
Congratulations to Duncan for this really cool photo of Owen and Claire from Jurassic World getting it on! What sold this entry to me was the perplexed Blue in the background trying to process humans getting jiggy with one another!
Anyway, congratulations to all the winners! It was incredibly difficult putting together a shortlist. Well done on all the fantastic entries and expect an email from me soon!
Here’s a selection of highlights from the giveaway. It was fantastic to see everyone’s interpretation of minifigs in love!
Thanks to everyone for joining and I hope you had as much fun as I did with this giveaway! Look out for the next one and once again, thanks for the support!
