LEGO UCS TIE Interceptor and complete 2024 May the 4th lineup revealed!

LEGO has now officially unveiled the entire Star Wars Day 2024 lineup, including the highly anticipated reveal of LEGO UCS Tie Interceptor, which is set to be released on 1 May 2024!

This is a massive year as LEGO Star Wars celebrates its 25th anniversary, digging into its archive to remake the LEGO UCS Tie Interceptor for 2024.

This 1,931-piece model will retail for US$239.99 / £209.99 and will be available exclusively from LEGO.com or your local LEGO Store from 1 May 2024.

It’s a highly detailed remake of the 2000 version (7181 TIE Interceptor), which was one of the earliest LEGO Star Wars UCS sets, giving fans a new opportunity to add this iconic ship to their UCS collections.

LEGO have also revealed 40686 Trade Federation Troop Carrier, which will be a gift with purchase (GWP) when you spend  £145 $/€160 on LEGO Star Wars products from 1-5 May 2024.

And last but not lease, LEGO will also release 5008878 The Force of Creativity, a special coffee table book. It features interviews with more than 50 insiders at the LEGO Group and Lucasfilm, previously unseen development art, character designs and more!

Here’s a full list of all the LEGO Star Wars sets that are due to be launched in May 2024!

75382 UCS TIE Interceptor – 1931 pieces

LEGO have done a great job with the UCS TIE Interceptor, supersizing it to UCS-scale and retaining its trademark four arrow-shaped panels, angled menacingly to chase down errant Rebel fighters.

It’s a shame that this wasn’t released in 2023 in time for the 40th anniversary of Return of the Jedi, but it’s honestly been a long time coming and an extremely pivotal piece to round out the LEGO UCS Star Wars collection, especially if you were too young, or missed out on the 2000 version, which for all intents and purposes are now outclassed by this version.

The set comes with an exclusive TIE Interceptor pilot minifigure, printed UCS plaque, commemorative LEGO Star Wars 25th anniversary brick, and also a cute little Mouse Droid.

The shaping of the cockpit on the 2024 version is by far the most significant update to the UCS TIE Interceptor and the narrower panels are also a huge improvement aesthetically.

Like 75355 UCS X-Wing Starfighter, it also comes with an option to angle the model for display to give it a more dramatic look, and I think looks great. LEGO definitely nailed the brief here, and I can’t imagine that fans will have much to complain about (except maybe the US$240 pricetag) when this is released on 1 May 2024.

And just in case you forgot, here’s a refresher of everything else that LEGO is throwing our way for Star Wars Day 2024!
