First look at LEGO 40484 Santa’s Front Yard gift with purchase (GWP)

Thanks to Brickset, we have our very first look at one of 2021’s LEGO Christmas GWPs (gift with purchase) – 40484 Santa’s Front Yard which went up shortly on the Australian LEGO site, but has now been removed, probably because it went up slightly prematurely.

It contains 317 pieces, and will likely be a GWP over the Black Friday/Cyber Monday weekend, and features a lovely brick-built reindeer, a Christmas Elf minifigure in a small vignette. I love the starry night background, and the North Pole sign, and this looks like a suitably festive GWP that you can plan your purchases around.

The moon and North Pole sign are unfortunately stickers, but still looks to be quite the attractive LEGO set.

We’ll learn more about the purchase thresholds and availability on the 15th of November when LEGO’s Black Friday offers are revealed.

Not my favourite Christmas promo, but I’m a sucker for these so will have to check the wish list. The trouble is finding something to purchase you (a) actually want and (b) is on stock…

    Worst Christmas promo ever?

Lovely! I like the way the reindeer is brick built, rather than simply being another moulded model like in Santa’s Sleigh (which are also lovely, but I have enough of them now) and I simply adore how the art/brick sketch concept has been worked into the background. I mean, it’s got a background! That’s unheard of in Lego scenes, isn’t it?

I ordered the Home Alone house with the Coffee Cart GWP yesterday, and once that has dispatched I will have enough VIP points for a £100 web voucher, so shall save that for the Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals and this Xmas GWP. I hope the deals are more inspiring than last year’s though.

Not terribly fussed with this offering. It’s cute, but this should just be sold instore (or online) for $14.99.

(Yes I’m still bitter about the Amelia Earhart set)
