List of LEGO sets retiring soon in 2022 [Updated March 2022)

We’re barely a few months into 2022, but I’ve finally had time to do a refresh an update of the list of LEGO Sets Retiring at the end of 2022.

As usual, I’ve cobbled this list together from a variety of sources, comparing the state of regional LEGO.com sites/stock availability, and Australian LEGO Certified Store information, for a guide to all sets that may retire at the end of 2022, or when sold out.

If you’re in North America, it’s a great time to take advantage of the ongoing LEGO Double VIP Points promotion, which ends on 14 March 2022, as well as qualify for the Jane Goodall Tribute gift with purchase, which ends on the 14th of March as well.

Here’s an up-to-date list, but do take it with a grain of salt as actual retirement dates may vary based on how quickly existing inventory gets depleted, and there are regional variances to consider again, depending on how much stock LEGO/retailers have in their regional warehouses – for example, sets in Australia tend to have a much shorter shelf life compared to the US/Europe.

Also, there isn’t a real and immediate danger, as some of these sets listed here will only retire at the end of 2022, but hopefully this helps you plan ahead.

Click the themes below to jump straight to the relevant sections.

If you’re thinking of purchasing any of these sets, please consider using these affiliate links as I may earn a small commission with each purchase. It helps heaps and goes a long way in supporting the work I do here on the blog, which is always greatly appreciated!

    No DC sets?

  2. Reader says:

When do you think the Lego Creator 3-in-1 Pirate Ship 31109 will retire?

I have heard anywhere from mid 2022 to 2024 based on various sources.

  3. Reader says:

What’s the normal lifespan of a Lego set? Some of those look to be less than a year old, particularly in the Harry Potter, Ninjago and Marvels themes. (Eternals subtheme comes to mind as being very young. I first saw it on this blog, so it must not be more than 6-9 months old.)

Some things on the list are on my wishlist, so thank you for the heads-up. Any chance of getting a good GWP in the near future…? That’s why they’ve been on my wishlist all this time.

  4. Roger says:

Thanks for the heads up on the Jane Goodall and the Double VIP. We got our order in yesterday for the Hotel and the Seinfeld set.
Cashing in 17000 VIP points was fun!
We’re currently making time lapse video of our World Map build.
    Cheers

  5. Paul Castle says:

I have most of what I want from those, with the notable exceptions of the big Disney Castle and the big Hogwarts castle, two expensive sets that I cannot justify buying until I’ve finished paying for all my other Lego…

    • Charles says:

The Disney and Hogwarts castles are fantastic. Both are loaded with Easter eggs and are a fun build I would recommend them before they retire.

    • gregory ferko says:

The Hogwarts Castle is expensive but if you love fun projects in builds, the castle was a fun build.

  6. Colby says:

Dang, I expected Ninjago City gardens would have another year. Same for the 501st too, especially with how well it’s sold.

I could’ve sworn the treehouse & Yoda retired awhile back…interesting to see they’re still around!
