Buying Guide: Every new LEGO set releasing in March 2023

March 2023 is almost here, and March is typically a big-ish release window for LEGO. To help you prepare and plan ahead, here’s the monthly LEGO March 2023 release guide, so you don’t miss a single drop!

There’s an enormous number of highly anticipated new sets like 21339 BTS Dynamite which will drop at midnight, on 1 March 2023, as well as the critically-acclaimed 10316 The Lord of the Rings: Rivendell which will be released on 5 March via LEGO VIP Early Access.

Star Wars fans are also in luck with the release of 75349 Captain Rex and 75350 Clone Commander Cody as well as 75351 Princess Leia (Boushh).

Outside of that, we have new Brickheadz, Harry Potter, Speed Champions, Technic, Creator 3-in-1, Classic and even Duplo!

To help you navigate and check out all the new LEGO releases in March 2023, here’s a comprehensive shopping guide to all the new LEGO sets that will be available 1 March from LEGO.com!

LEGO March 2023 GWPs (gift with purchase)

There isn’t a dedicated March 2023 GWP as of yet BUT you’ll still qualify for 40586 Moving Truck GWP with the new 1 March 2023 purchases.

40586 Moving Truck GWP will be available from LEGO.com as a free gift when you spend US$180 / AU$300 / £160 or more until 3 March, while stocks last.

See below for regional information and details for the Moving Truck GWP

With Easter coming up, I think it’s also safe to expect some Easter-themed GWPs later in March, or closer to April. Last year, we got 40527 Easter Chicks as a gift with purchase on 25 March, and I predict we’ll have another similar offer at around the same time.

LEGO Ideas 21339 BTS – Dynamite

Following on from February’s 21338 A-Frame Cabin, March 2023 sees the highly anticipated release of 21339 BTS Dynamite, featuring the KPOP phenomenon BTS.

While not geared towards traditional LEGO fans, BTS superfans (also known as ARMY) will no doubt be clamouring over this latest collaboration, which will likely see this set sell out incredibly fast, like most other BTS collaborations and merchandise.

Featuring all 7 BTS band members: J-Hope, Jimin, Jin, RM, Jung Kook, Suga and V as minifigures, the set brings their hit music video Dynamite to life in LEGO form.

Be sure to check out my detailed review of 21339 BTS Dynamite to see more of the set, and read what I thought of it.

There might also be a queue activated if you’re shopping on LEGO.com at the stroke of midnight, which will no doubt be slammed by BTS fans trying to secure their copy of 21339 BTS Dynamite, so don’t panic, and just be patient.

10316 THE LORD OF THE RINGS: RIVENDELL – 5 March (VIP Early Access)

Without a doubt, one of the most anticipated LEGO sets ever is 10316 The Lord of the Rings: Rivendell which will be released on 5 March for LEGO VIPs, ahead of an 8 March general release. Remember, you’ll need to be logged into your LEGO VIP account to order on the 5th!

LEGO Lord of the Rings is back with a beautifully detailed rendition of Rivendell PLUS the inclusion of the entire Fellowship of the Ring minifigures and more.

As an added bonus, if you order 10316 The Lord of the Rings: Rivendell early, you’ll also get a free 40630 Frodo & Gollum Brickheadz gift with purchase.

Check out my review of 10316 The Lord of the Rings: Rivendell to see why I gave it a perfect score, and why this is now one of my favourite LEGO sets of all time.

LEGO 75356 Executor Super Star Destroyer

This technically isn’t released in March, but LEGO surprise-dropped 75356 Executor Super Star Destroyer on their online store, and is now available for pre-order ahead of a 1 May 2023 release date.

LEGO Princess Leia (Boushh), Captain Rex and Commander Cody Helmets

New for March 2023 is a trio of LEGO Star Wars helmets, with the long-awaited Prequel-era helmets 75349 Captain Rex and 75350 Clone Commander Cody as well as 75351 Princess Leia (Boushh).

Prequel fans will no doubt be excited to finally get their hands on the Captain Rex and Commander Cody helmets, the very first Prequel-era helmets.

All 3 helmets go on sale on 1 March 2023, and you can check out my review of Commander Cody and Captain Rex helmets!

LEGO Harry Potter March 2023

New for March is also a small selection of LEGO Harry Potter sets. We get a new selection of House-specific Banner sets, which follow in the format of last year’s Hogwarts Moments: Textbooks.

Most exciting are 2 new playsets, 76413 Hogwarts™: Room of Requirement and 76420 Triwizard Tournament: The Black Lake, the latter of which is a remake of 4762 Rescue from the Merpeople.

LEGO Harry Potter Dots March 2023

Unfortunately, for LEGO Dots fans, March 2023 will see the very last selection of LEGO Dots sets, following LEGO’s announcement that the theme would retire from June 2023 onwards.

In its first collaboration with Harry Potter, there will be 3 Harry Potter-themed Dots sets launching in March 2023 before it all ends.

LEGO Technic March 2023

2023 LEGO Speed Champions

Petrolheads and LEGO Speed Champions fans are ready to add 4 new sets to their garage with the March 2023 Speed Champions release.

We get staple carmakers like Ferrari, Porsche and McLaren but most exciting out of the lineup is the debut of hypercar make Pagani which further expands the Speed Champions stable of cars.

LEGO Disney Brickheadz March 2023

It’s a big year for LEGO Disney as they celebrate 100 Years of Disney, and we have 3 more Brickheadz double packs joining 40622 Disney 100th Celebration Brickheadz.

Choose from pairs that include star-crossed lover robots EVE & WALL-E, iconic villains Cruella de Vil & Maleficent or headstrong and independent princesses Moana & Merida.

LEGO Creator 3-in-1 March 2023

Fans of LEGO Creator 3-in-1 are in for a spectacular month with a massive wave of new sets, with a special emphasis on animals! From Unicorns, to Adorable Dogs to Exotic Parrots, there’s an incredible selection to choose from.

I’ll be reviewing a couple of these sets in the coming weeks, so be sure to keep an eye out for them!

LEGO Classic March 2023

If you tire of minifigure and highly complex sets, LEGO Classic is the theme for you, with a great selection of basic bricks at affordable prices.

Most interestingly, if you’ve ever wanted a box of just 1,000 basic bricks – you can get one now with 11030 Lots of Bricks.

LEGO City Stuntz March 2023

LEGO Spidey and his Amazing Friends March 2023

LEGO Duplo March 2023

And that’s it for LEGO’s massive March 2023 release slate!
