UPDATE – The Birds are now on sale @ LEGO.com
One of the sets that I’m most excited about is the new Ideas set – 21301 Birds is now listed on the Australian LEGO.com store! The 9th LEGO Ideas set’s price is $69.99. As of this post going live, you can’t purchase it yet but it has been tagged as “Coming Soon” which is kind of odd since it’s already the 2nd of January and most of the other big ticket 2015 sets like the Detective’s Office and Star Wars UCS Slave 1 can already be purchased.
Apparently IT issues are to be blamed. So hopefully this issue gets rectified soon.
I have to admit that I’ve been watching the LEGO.com online store like a hawk to make sure that I get my order in and avoid getting into a situation where it gets sold out almost, like the Research Institute when it was launched. Guess there’s going to be more checking in today, to find out when it officially becomes available for purchase.

To sweeten the deal, January’s LEGO.com free gift – the Flower Cart is also available to all orders above $100 or more. The flower cart polybag is meant to be paired with the Detective’s Office but will also look great in any LEGO city.
