Buying Guide: Every new LEGO set releasing in January 2024

A New Year means a massive number of new LEGO sets being released on the 1st of January 2024 which is a super exciting time of the year for LEGO fans! It’s one of the biggest set release windows of the year with plenty on offer across a whole variety of themes.

To help you navigate through every new LEGO set being released on 1 January 2024, here’s my monthly shopping guide!

While the 1st of January has typically been reserved for the launch of a new Modular (we got  10326 Natural History Museum in December 2023), there’s still plenty to be excited about with key launches such as the 21345 Polaroid OneStep Camera, 42639 Andrea’s Modern Mansion, 10328 Bouquet of Roses , 80112 Auspicious Dragon and Monkie Kid’s 5th anniversary 80054 Megapolis City!

LEGO Minifigure collectors can also look forward to hunting down 12 new characters in 71045 LEGO Minifigures Series 25, including the highly anticipated return of the LEGO Goat!

Be sure to also check out my recent reviews of 2024 sets!

  • 40681 Retro Food Truck – spend US$190 / AU$310 / £170 / €190 or more on LEGO.com from 1-16 January 2024.

  1. Andrew H says:

Ooh, it looks like quite a few of the new city sets are smaller and would be an easy add to make a purchase large enough to cover a GWP or future one! I will definitely be picking up the family reunion, but I will also look to see what other items there are. I think I will have to wait on the Modular museum for now.

  2. Imagine Bricks says:

Hey Jay, queuing here at Bluewater Store here in UK and just been speaking to store manager, they most definetely have the retro food truck free GWP available for orders over £170.

  3. Chris Dennis says:

    Hi Jay

    Was the GWP released today?
    I’ve just checked lego.com & bricks megastore (@ 5am AEST) & neither have it

    • Jay Ong says:

Nope, unfortunately it didn’t show up and it looks like it’s been delayed! It did pop up in the UK/EU but Australia seems to be dealing with some delays on January 2024 stock.

  4. Graeme says:

The ads popping up non stop and covering 60% of the page are too much. Like your articles, but won’t be coming back if these excessive and intrusive ads stay.

    • Jay Ong says:

Hi Graeme, I’m really sorry for your experience. There really shouldn’t be pop up ads, especially ones that cover content – they really should be within paragraphs and photos.

Let me look into this and see if it’s possible to reduce the frequency of it

      • Andrew H says:

I have been experiencing this on other sites as well. The ad will either block out the last scentance or two from one paragraph, or cover part of the first sentence of the following paragraph. This sounds like greedy advertisers trying to manipulate more space on the website somehow.

  5. James Blades says:

Should the gwps have not gone live in Australia by now?
Just had a look and nothing so far?

  6. Scott White says:

Hi Jay, what does n/a mean for the AUD price on some sets (Duplo). My kid would love these ones so hopefully I won’t need to jump through too many hoops to get them.

  7. Abbey says:

I didn’t see the full offering of the new dreamzzz sets. Are those still a go for the 1st?

  8. Jennie says:

A few stores released a lot of these early but not on purpose. I got the Spider-Man mask and my son got Rocket for Christmas. Found them at our local Target and Walmart. Also saw the new Mech-Armors and a few others. My husband tried to buy Rocket at Walmart but they took it from him and told him he couldn’t have it. Then 2 days later we found them at Target and bought them without issue.

  9. Gina says:

Definitely getting the family reunion celebration and maybe some minifigures.
    Thanks for the review, Jay
    Happy new year 😊

  10. Scott says:

I am guessing a few of the 3 in 1 and city sets where the $AU and $US prices are the same are mistakes… They’d be prices too good to be true.

Thanks for the guide, lots of amazing sets coming out.

Is it confirmed that we will be getting the series 25 minifigs on Jan 1st? The last few sets we’ve gotten a month or more later.

  11. James Blades says:

Excited for the new mini fig series
In the past have gone to a LEGO store to try and find the ones I want but as in blind boxes now may just order online.
I anything sells out quick I think it’ll be the CMF
Interested to see if the rumoured Ninjago and Monkie kid GWP come out on 1st as well
    Also like the Auspicious Dragon!
