Check out the official LEGO 21339 BTS Dynamite set featuring the Bangtan Boys as minifigures!
At long last, LEGO and BigHit Music have officially unveiled 21339 BTS Dynamite, the second LEGO Ideas set of 2023. It depicts the music video set of their smash hit Dynamite.
The LEGO BTS set features all seven members of BTS (aka the Bangtan Boys) in minifigure form, so fans of the KPOP sensation can finally get their hands on RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V and JungKook minifigures.

Short update: This photo has surfaced with what seems to be a GWP of a set of limited edition vinyl-packaged postcards and sticker sheets, which will be available when you purchase the set. So far, the only sites with this information seem to be from Singapore or Malaysia, so it’s unknown if these will be released globally.
Here’s a better look at the box, which I was very delighted to learn that it’s a flip top box, which means it’s a slightly higher quality than punchhole boxes, and allows you to use it as storage.
The big drawcard of this set is undoubtedly the entire BTS boyband in minifigure form, and fans of BTS (affectionately known as ARMY), will be delighted to see the Bangtan Boys’ iconic outfits from the Dynamite music video.
Due to copyright and licensing issues, LEGO weren’t able to directly mimic the Gucci and Saint Laurent outfits that the boys wore, but it’s the closest thing we’ll get to official LEGO Saint Laurent FW2020 and Gucci’s Pre-Fall 2020 collection!
Eagle-eyed minifigure fans will also notice the debut of a new center-parted wig on Suga and Jungkook, in brown and black, which will give minifigure customisers great new hairstyle option, with the trendy Korean perm look.
The set has also come a LONG way from the original fan designers, Josh, 20 from Indiana, and Jacob, 21 from New York who combined their love of BTS and LEGO building to bring this concept together.
Like the Dynamite music video, LEGO designers James May, and Gemma Anderson, and Graphic Designer Diego Sancho have splashed the set out with fun and poppy pastel colours, while keeping the original set concept in tact.
One new addition that really elevates the model is this Dynamite Ice Cream Truck, which as you may notice is a 4-wide vehicle, evoking Classic Town vibes.
The interiors are pretty fun, and in the Record Store, you’ll see plenty of stickered BTS album covers, which fans will absolutely love.
For some reason, there’s also a printed tile with a Blacktron signal on radar from 10497 Galaxy Explorer, so I guess Blacktron is now canon in the BST universe.
There’s also a burger and donut store, complete with a slushie machine.
And I was pumped to see the basketball court with the awesome wall graffiti art from the music video. The palm trees are also a great addition, as they feature in parts of the music video, evoking a fun, West Coast vibe.
And if you want to display just the band on its own, the set even comes with a stage. You’ll notice that there are gears on the side, which suggests that you can turn them to swivel around the BTS minifigures to make them dance.
And there you have it, one of the most anticipated LEGO sets from BTS fans.
I personally think it looks all right. It likely won’t appeal to most LEGO fans, but it will be a huge deal for BTS fans, who may very well be pulled into the LEGO hobby because of this set.
The minifigures itself are cool, and even if you’re not a fan of BTS, you can easily resell the minifigures and be left with a pretty neat and usable Burger and Donut Record Store!
What do you think of the LEGO BTS set? Will you be picking it up?
21339 BTS Dynamite will be released on 1 March 2023 exclusively from LEGO.com or from your local LEGO Store.
