First look at a new LEGO Ninjago Mech, from the Summer 2023 Ninjago wave!

LEGO’s Czech Republic Facebook page has given us a sneak peek at an upcoming LEGO Ninjago set, that’s likely to be from the Summer 2023 wave!

There’s not much known about this, but it gives us a great look at a new, very traditional looking Japanese mech. It looks like it’s inspired by images of Japanese peasants, with a traditional Kasa (a Japanese style hat) and even wooden clogs on its feet!

The mech’s feet look to be inspired by Japanese Geta which are worn with socks. You can also see in the blurry image that there are white socks.

There’s also a smaller yellow mech to the side, but it’s really hard to make out the minifigures.

In some ways, the design is reminiscent of 70658 Oni Titan, but with a more play-friendly and kiddy look.

Definitely looking to see more of the Summer 2023 Ninjago wave soon and can’t wait to see the rest of it!

Special thanks to @_ninjawhip_ for the heads up!

  1. Kevin says:

I have really fallen in love with the Ninjago design aesthetic and have built up a collection of about 30 sets so far, mainly dragons, city/docks/gardens and other assorted sets that took my fancy. Unfortunately I never got into the mech sets, apart from the Quake Mech. This one may be another exception though.

Like yourself, Jay, I’ll also be looking forward to this year’s Ninjago releases.
