Have a say in future LEGO licensed merchandise

LEGO are inviting fans from all over the world, especially those located in the US and UK to weigh in on future LEGO Licensed Merchandise.

As readers of Jay’s Brick Blog, you’re invited to take this survey, which will inform teams within LEGO on shopping preferences.

The US/UK focus is mostly because you’ll be asked about how much you’d pay for merchandise like t-shirts, hoodies, travel mugs and other novelty home decorations, so even if you’re not based in the US and UK, you’re welcome to take the survey – just keep the pricing in USD in mind when you answer.

What’s really cool is that the survey gives us some mockups of merchandise options LEGO are thinking off, and some of these look very close to final!

Keep in mind, these are just concepts and mockups, so if LEGO does move ahead with licensed merchandise, the end products might look dramatically different to these.

An OG Goat Plushie? Yes please!

A classic LEGO Ghost night light/lamp? Shut up and take my money!

Here’s LEGO’s text about the survey, via the LEGO Ambassador Network.

We are excited to invite you to participate in a 15-minute survey about our licensed merchandise product offerings. At the LEGO® Group, we are constantly striving to innovate and expand our portfolio, and your feedback will play a crucial role in guiding our decisions.

This survey aims to understand your current shopping habits and preferences, alongside your insights on licensed merchandise concept ideas (non-brick products; clothing, books, storage solutions). Your responses will inform our team’s efforts to identify new business growth areas and enhance the LEGO® licensed merchandise portfolio.

We welcome any additional feedback or suggestions you may have regarding LEGO licensed merchandised products. All responses provided in this survey will be anonymous and used for research purposes only.

Thanks for helping fill out the survey and please score the Goat plushie highly!

Why is 5.b. traced over a custom tahu MOC instead of an officiall bionicle graphic?

  2. Robert says:

Tha survey ended when I indicated that I hadn’t purchased anything from Lego.com – which is true I mostly purchase from K mart and Myer. Wow , not happy Jan!

  3. Ravina De La Rose says:

Should I just sign my pay checks over to LEGO? 😍

  4. Rob says:

They’ll sell 50 pink spaceman shirts. They’ll sell 50,000 blue spaceman shirts… But they’ll make the pink one only because muh diversity. Not holding my breath but would buy a few if they make the right stuff from the 80’s and 90’s.

  5. Bionicle fan says:

No way they will make an official “The only B-word you can call a woman is Bionicle” shirt

  6. Scott says:

Some awesome ideas but it is Lego. They’ll be poor to terrible quality, insanely overpriced and on the whole the worst option they could’ve picked. Just like their current bags, cups and non brick merchandise.

    • Jeff W. Carpenter says:

They will pick the worst option like the ones with the greenery. Most of their Ideas selection are the worst ones too, so we probably shouldn’t expect much difference.

    • qwerty says:

chillax … lego is usually high quality, thats what causes the costs.

  7. Danni says:

The vases, I NEED THOSE VASES! I like a lot of their ideas but the costs would probably be too much. Lego is expensive, I’m assuming these would be the same.

  8. Adam says:

The survey ended when I told them I was between 0-17. : (

    • daniel says:

yeah same for me too, so I just said im 18-20 and did the survey (im south korean, and although by international age im 16, technically in korean age im 18 so… hopefully its justified)

  9. JAMES MUSCARELLA says:

I LOVE LEGO MERCHANDISE ITEMS AND HOPE THAT LEGO KEEPS MAKING THEM FOR THEIR LEGO CUSTOMERS ALWAYS..

  10. :( says:

I put in my age and it just ended…

  11. Carolyn says:

I suggested a shark figure plushie too, and ironic/retro shirts, like Anton’s Bait Shop as if we’re a real place with a tourist shirt.

  12. John Ballentine says:

Wow, I haven’t bought anything from Lego.com for the past 12 months? Sorry, don’t want to hear anything else… Survey ended right there. Seems odd to me.

    • Jeff W. Carpenter says:

Wow! Guess they don’t think customers will return or they don’t want them to return! That is both crazy and sad.

  13. Jeff W Carpenter says:

Jay I thank you for making this available to us. It was very exciting to see what items they are thinking about. I rated the ghost lamp and goat plushie very highly. I know this wasn’t about brand licensed products, but I stress that they should give Star Wars and Harry Potter items a rest. Not to stop, but there are other things. The one thing I told them repeatedly in my comments was that the clothing needs to come in very large sizes. I wear a 4X/5X and would probably buy any of their clothing products if they were available in my size. That’s except for that god awful greenery design!!! I have always hated the greenery design. I try not to use it in my set builds even if they are suppose to be there. I wish there was an aftermarket greenery product that looked better. I would buy it for all my built sets. I have no idea why they haven’t redesigned the greenery, because what we have today is HORRID!

    • Håkan says:

I’d guess the main motivation for the continuing production of Harry Potter and Star Wars sets are due to them constantly selling,,,

  14. Brick HQ says:

    These are awesome ideas!
I hope Lego makes most of these stuff
This survey is great, makes me wish Lego would do that for some set ideas. Also its a good way to let Lego know that the price should be lower and affordable
