There’s no denying that 10315 Tranquil Garden is a thing of beauty. In some ways, it melds LEGO Architecture with the LEGO Botanical Collection with distinctive Japanese influence to craft a gorgeous model that looks ripe to display.

There are beautiful details galore throughout the build, and if you’ve had the opportunity to visit some of Japan’s beautiful traditional gardens, you’ll find many details here familiar – from the arched bridge, floating lotus flowers in the pond, stone lanterns, as well as a pink cherry blossoms in full bloom.

There’s even a pavilion, which opens up to reveal an intimate traditional Japanese tea ceremony. You’ll notice the green cups of matcha powder and even a tea brush represented by a LEGO whisk!

The set is teeming with botanical elements, and I especially love the generous use of LEGO ferns for the Japanese Cypress tree.

For fans of aesthetic LEGO sets, and even the LEGO Botanical collection, or those who have a strong connection with Japan, whether through holidays or culture, this set is an absolute smash hit, and I think will be one of the most popular sets with broad mainstream appeal.
I just love how this set is a beautiful blend of LEGO Botanicals, Architecture with a dash of East Asian culture.
I absolutely cannot wait to get my hands on this set and proudly display 10315 Tranquil Garden in my home.
10315 Tranquil Garden will be released on 1 August and will be available from your local LEGO Store or LEGO.com

Really enjoyed this post. I completed the bonsai set, then accidentally purchased a stem flower knockoff on Amazon (returned!). This has inspired me to get my next flower set. Love your shelf display!!
Alternative brands have made similar sets with better value for years already!
What a beautiful set! Glad I found your blog
I actually prefer the more simple, zen aesthetic they were going for. Not only is it easier on the wallet, but it will go well in my work cubicle without it looking out of place. 🙂
Far too expensive for what you get. The Chinese New Year sets are much better value and offer better aesthetics
Yes!
It’s nice but far too expensive and nothing we haven’t seen before in better Chinese new year sets and Ninjago. A lot of pieces seem to be in the black base. The Friends botanical garden is much nicer and cheaper. Big miss from Lego here and I adore their Asian style sets so it’s a huge let down for me.
By itself.. its a bit underwhelming.. i don’t really like the style of the brown trees, and they’re important.
However, next to the bonsai.. the combination looks like it will be very good.
