LEGO 40613 Mini Palace of Agrabah revealed!
The 1st of the month is usually pretty hectic with new launches and reveals, and LEGO have officially unveiled 40613 Mini Disney Palace of Agrabah, featuring a micro version of the Palace of Agrabah from Aladdin.
The Mini Palace of Agrabah set will be released on LEGO.com on 1 October 2023, and joins the Mini Disney Castle (2021) and Mini Haunted Mansion (2022) as this year’s miniaturised Disney setting.
Design-wise this looks quite fun, with the Agrabah Palace’s iconic gold-tipped minarets represented nicely here against the white walls, and there’s also a mini Magic Carpet and Genie Lamp on it.
But unlike the Mini Disney Castle and Mini Haunted Mansion, LEGO seemed to have forgotten to add a minifigure in this, which is honestly quite shocking and a bit of a letdown.
2023 is a celebration of all things Disney 100, so this would’ve been the perfect opportunity to include The Sultan in a set, but a minifigure is nowhere to be found, which is a huge miss in my eyes.
While it’s a tidy looking model and much nicer than the Mini Haunted Mansion (which I wasn’t a fan of), the lack of any sort of exclusive minifigure makes this one a tough sell at US$39.99 / AU$69.99.
What do you think of the mini Palace of Agrabah? Are you disappointed that a minifig wasn’t included?
