LEGO 75356 Executor Super Star Destroyer officially revealed with pre-orders open now!

LEGO has surprised us all with the reveal of 75356 Executor Super Star Destroyer, a 40th Anniversary Return of the Jedi set, featuring a micro-version of Darth Vader’s flagship Super Star Destroyer!

Update: it looks like pre-orders for 75356 Executor Super Star Destroyer have closed due to high demand! Check back on the 1st of May to order one.

It’s available for pre-order now on LEGO.com ahead of 1 May 2023 release, just in time for May the 4th!

Coming in at 630 pieces, this mini Executor Super Star Destroyer measures over 5.5 in. (14 cm) high, 17 in. (43 cm) long and 7 in. (18 cm) wide, and even comes with a commemorative 40th Anniversary of Return of the Jedi brick, and a mini name plaque too.

This 2023 midi Super Star Destroyer is a fantastic, affordable alternative to the massive UCS Super Star Destroyer, which measures over 1.2m long, making this version a more practical display option.

If you’re planning on pre-ordering or purchasing the Executor Super Star Destroyer, please consider using these affiliate links to help support the work I do on the blog.

At this scale (and price point), it’s a much more accessible and easier to display version of the massive UCS Super Star Destroyer, and I think looks great, as it also has 2 micro Star Destroyers alongside it.

I’m a big fan of these micro-scale sets, and this will rocket up straight on my wishlist for May the 4th!

75356 Executor Super Star Destroyer is now available for pre-order on LEGO.com, ahead of a 1 May 2023 release.

Let me know what you think of this micro Super Star Destroyer!

Is this set a limited release? It seems like there’s no stock available anywhere and resellers are already getting up to $150 for it on the secondary market.

  2. John Hood says:

I’ll be ordering this with VIP Points on May the Fourth!

  3. Sue says:

Hi Jay, I’m a vip and clicked on your link but it’s not coming up as being able to pre-order?? Any suggestions what I’m doing wrong?

    • Jay Ong says:

Ah you’re not doing anything wrong. It looks like they’ve closed off pre-orders for the set. If you want one, I recommend checking back when it officially goes on sale on 1 May to get one.

  4. Legomas says:

Probably will get it, but at the best discount from a retailer already discounted price, then matched by amazon.

Id like to say something positive about purchasing from lego official at rrp, but face it, given every set is now well designed rather than substantial, and prices are 20-30cents per piece.. how could pay full price for this stuff. Even at the full standard discounts it still feels like they’re expensive for “amount of stuff” test these days.

Will leave rrp to doting grandparents, once a year.

  5. Ronan says:

Yes I am so glad that it is coming back soon

  6. Jim Allen Johnston says:

ah yes, definitely preferable to the gigantic prior model, since i can actually fit this one! Like the republic frigate they did a couple years ago. Cool!

  7. Sbricks says:

Why the heck do you people think this is affordable?!

  8. Daniel says:

    Beautiful!
But stupidly expensive here in Oz!
$100 for only 630 pieces, and there’s really not much to it at all! (In terms of size, bulk, minifigs, etc…)
    😔
Hopefully one day I can find this at 20-30% off, but I have my doubts….

    • Mike says:

I’m with you. The ‘event’ around this – the surprise announcement and chance for early preorder – seems to be the dominant factor here, when really all I see is a very expensive set. Lego certainly knows what they can charge. But having said that, I am about to drop $800 on Rivendell 🙂

  9. turtle says:

Beautiful. I must get this set. Thank You LEGO!

  10. Laurie says:

Hey there from Oregon! Thank you for this post, and I used your link to get to the Lego site and pre-ordered one! Life just keeps getting better & better!! FINALLY an affordable set!

  11. Anthony Christian says:

Wow – must buy for me.
    Perfect size for display
