LEGO 76210 Iron Man Hulkbuster (2022) officially revealed!

After an inadvertent leak earlier this week, I can now officially unveil the 76210 Hulkbuster, along with the official pricing, release date and more photos, to help you make up your mind about whether this gargantuan 2022 LEGO version of the Hulkbuster is right for you.

Weighing in at 4,049-pieces, the Hulkbuster also takes the crown as the biggest (and most expensive) LEGO Marvel set of all time, pipping last year’s 76178 Daily Bugle.

76210 Hulkbuster has a release date of 4 November for LEGO VIPs, ahead of a 9 November general release, and will be available exclusively from LEGO.com and your local LEGO Store.

This 2022 version of the Hulkbuster is officially based off the Mark 44 armour, which first made its debut in Avengers: Age of Ultron.

It’s the final big Marvel set of the year, following on from 76215 Black Panther, and you could say that this gargantuan Hulkbuster model is LEGO’s way of celebrating 10 years of LEGO Marvel, even if its not billed as such.

Size is the name of the game here, with the LEGO Hulkbuster’s dimensions coming in at 52cm (20.5″) tall, 47cm (18.5″) wide and 24cm (9.5″) deep.

Here’s a better look at the Tony Stark minifigure included… which is super plain. It doesn’t look like he has arm or leg printing, which is pretty inexcusable for such an expensive set.

And here’s a look at the UCS-style plaque, which is a sticker. Another bit of disappointment as it would’ve been really nice to start having these plaques printed.

Here are more official photos below that gives you a better look at the Hulkbuster from different angles and in different poses. For what it’s worth, I still think the proportions are slightly off.

One of the main reasons behind the Hulkbuster’s scale and size is compatibility with 76206 Iron Man Figure.

You can insert the 76206 Iron Man Figure inside this Hulkbuster to pilot it. It’s a neat gimmick, but I’m not entirely sure if this was necessary, or adds much value to the Hulkbuster, especially the need to make it this big.

In my view, a proper minifigure-scale Hulkbuster that’s equally as detailed/chunky would’ve been preferred, rather than having to force combability with the Iron Man Figure.

Here’s more lifestyle photos which show the Hulkbuster in-situ, as well as next to a person to give you a better sense of scale.

So yeah, that’s the 76210 Hulkbuster with its astronomical US$549.99 / AU$849.99 pricetag.

Sure it’s huge, and looks rather impressive at certain angles, but the proportions still seem a little weird, although I think the lifestyle photos are slightly more flattering, and makes it look just a bit better rather than official renders.

It’s still a big ask, especially if you’re not in the same tax bracket at Tony Stark to plop US$549.99 down for a supersized LEGO Hulkbuster. I’ll probably get one, but I won’t be in a rush, and will wait till it goes on sale because no way am I paying AU$849.99 for this on day one.

76210 Hulkbuster will be available on 4 November (VIPs) exclusively from LEGO.com.

Now that it’s officially been revealed, does this change your mind about 76210 Hulkbuster? Let me know what you think in the comments!
