LEGO reveals 75357 Ghost & Phantom II, a 2023 remake of the iconic Rebels ship for Ahsoka

Star Wars Rebels fan rejoice, as the Australian LEGO Certified Store has revealed the first LEGO Star Wars set based on the upcoming Ahsoka TV series – 75357 Ghost & Phantom II!

This 1,394-piece of Ghost & Phantom II has a release date of 1 September 2023, just after the premiere of the new Ahsoka TV series on Disney+ on 23 August 2023.

LEGO.com has revealed the product page and regional pricing, as well as opened pre-orders for the 2023 LEGO Ghost & Phantom II!

Pre-orders are also available on Amazon.com for those in the US.

5 minifigures are included in the set:  General Hera Syndulla, Lt. Beyta, Jacen Syndulla and First Officer Hawkins, plus known war criminal Chopper (C1-10P).

Not as great as as minifigure lineup from the previous Ghost and Phantom sets, and there’s a distinct lack of Zeb Orrelios here!

I think it’s mighty clever of LEGO to re-release the Ghost and The Phantom, given that they’re currently one of the most sought-after LEGO Star Wars sets from the Rebels eta.

It’s been 9 years since the debut of the original 75053 The Ghost, and 6 years since 75170 The Phantom, both of which could be combined, and I think LEGO have done a pretty good job with this 2023 remake.

It’ll be really interesting to compare both the original and new one side by side! I’ve spied some interesting build techniques, such as using the anti-stud strip of grey elements on the side, so hopefully it’ll still be a novel experience for fans and owners of the original Ghost.

Given the almost legend-status of the original LEGO Ghost and Phantom, I think this set will sell incredibly well, especially if the Ahsoka series is well-received.

Looks-wise, LEGO have nailed the Ghost here, and this does look like one of the strongest LEGO Star Wars releases of 2023, so I expect this to be pretty popular!
