LEGO Technic 2024 sets embraces space exploration like never before
German retailer JB Spielwaren has also given us a look at more 2024 LEGO Technic sets that are due to be released in March 2024.
Space is going to be a massive focus for LEGO in 2024, and we can see some of it here, with 4 out-of-this-world LEGO Technic sets that look futuristic and unlike anything we’ve seen before from Technic, which has traditionally been very rooted in reality.
You’ll also notice the new reddish, burnt orange colour being used in some of the Technic Space sets which is super exciting!
- 42169 NEOM McLaren Formula E Race Car – €52.99
- 42170 Kawasaki Ninja H2R – €79.99
- 42178 Surface Space Loader – €34.99
- 42179 Planet Earth and Moon in Orbit – €79.99
- 42180 Mars Exploration Rover – €52.99
- 42181 VTOL Heavy Cargo Spaceship LT81 – €52.99
There’s also a brand new element introduced in the Technic Space sets – called a Link Brick. There are some really fascinating connection points in this octogonal element that looks to make it a very interesting way to connect System with Technic. There’s a lot of emphasis on the back of the box art, with a QR code to scan, so it seems that LEGO has big plans for this element.
It also looks like it could double as an airlock! I can’t wait to see where this element is being used, and I have a hunch that we’ll see it in more Space sets throughout 2024!
