LEGO unveils 10321 Corvette, an icon of American automotive history

Fans of American automotive history are in for a treat with LEGO’s latest LEGO Icons vehicle – 10321 Corvette, a beautiful homage to the progenitor of American sportscars, celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Corvette C1.

This sleek 1,210-piece LEGO model is based on the Chevrolet Corvette C1, which made its debut in 1953, unveiled by General Motors as an answer to America’s post-WW2 demand for a truly American sportscar that could hold its own against European competition.

10321 Corvette will retail for US$149.99 / AU$249.99 / £129.99, and has a release date of 1 August 2023 where it will be available from LEGO.com or your local LEGO store.

There’s something so mercurial and slick about the Corvette’s C1 design, which is accentuated by the car’s vibrant red colour scheme. The LEGO Corvette C1 offers two options, a hardtop version and one with the top off for those wanting to feel the wind in their hair.

10321 Chevrolet Corvette C1’s measurements are 32 cm (12.5″) long, and 10cm (4″) tall.

Here’s a look at both version on display.

The LEGO model does a great job of replicating the Corvette C1’s signature curves and features, and in a move that will delight LEGO fans, it seems like the Corvette performance logo is printed on the front!

Here’s how the LEGO Corvette C1 looks from the side. I’d say for the most part, this looks quite good, although it’s a shame that the front doesn’t have the gentle slope of the original model.

I’m also a big fan of the size of the LEGO Chevrolet Corvette C1, which should fit in really nicely against other vehicles in the LEGO Icons garage.

Please enjoy more lifestyle photos supplied by LEGO to appreciate some of the more intricate details of the Corvette C1.

10321 Corvette will be available on 1 August 2023 from LEGO.com or your local LEGO store.
