LEGO unveils the Technic Peugeot 9X8 Le Mans Hypercar (42156) ahead of its 24 hour Le Mans debut

LEGO have taken the wraps off an exciting new Technic set, 42156 Peugeot 9X8 24H Le Mans Hybrid Hypercar which roars into the LEGO Technic collection.
Peugeot’s Hybrid Hypercar marks the debut of the French automotive brand into LEGO’s garage, and is a collaboration by the design teams from LEGO Group and Peugeot Sport to bring the 9X8 hypercar to life.
This 1,775-piece 1:10 scale version will retail for US$199.99 / AU$299.99 / £169.99 and will be released on 1 May 2023 from LEGO.com, or your local LEGO store.

The Peugeot 9X8’s real-life 4-wheel drive hypercar’s electric powered 7 speed transmission has been replicated in precise scale in this new model, which also sports the hypercar’s unique doors, low-emission hybrid powertrain system, powerful suspension, and elegant profile.
Fantastic details such as the V6 engine and glow-in-the-dark light elements truly capture the thrill of racing.
The LEGO Technic Peugeot 9X8’s dimensions are 13 cm (5 in.) high, 50 cm (19.5 in.) long and 22 cm (9 in.) wide, and is at a 1:10 scale.
Here’s a comparison to the real-life Peugeot 9X8, which stands a good chance of winning the Le Mans 24 hour race, assuming Peugeot sort out their reliability issues.
The Peugeot 9X8 has one the most unique hypercar designs and just looks so different compared to other vehicles racing in the Le Mans 24 hour, where the car will make its highly anticipated debut on June 10th-11th
Despite the unique shape and design of the 9X8, LEGO have done a pretty good job translating it and capturing all the angles and proportions, as well as colours.i
It looks particularly fierce from the front, and the glow in the dark rods make for a pretty fun visual gimmick.
