No, there isn’t a secret leaked UCS Nebulon Frigate hidden in LEGO’s new campus
As we approach May the 4th and the impending reveal what is likely the first LEGO Star Wars UCS (Ultimate Collector’s Series) set of 2022, there has been a flurry of rumours flying around of the next LEGO UCS set, that is supposedly being released later this year, or in 2023.
There is a rumour flying across all my feeds about a supposedly secret UCS Nebulon Frigate model hidden inside LEGO’s new Billund Campus.
As you can see above, some of the bigger Star Wars and leak Youtube channels have run with the rumour, claiming that this is a leaked look at the UCS Nebulon Frigate.
Except that it’s not, so here’s a short post to set the record straight.
The Nebulon on display is actually a MOC being showcased within LEGO’s Campus, and we know this thanks to Bricknerd who had an exclusive Campus Tour, when one of their contributors, Are M Heiseldal was invited, along with other members of Swebrick and Brikkelauget, two Scandinavian LUGs which were invited to display MOCs and designs from their members.
Highly recommend checking out BrickNerd’s article for more photos of the Nebulon and displays, as well as the other fantastic MOCs proudly on show at LEGO’s new Campus.
The Nebulon Frigate on display is actually one of the most famous large-scale MOCs of the ship, designed by prolific builder, Anders Horvath from Swebrick for Shiptember 2021.
In fact, I highly recommend checking out the entire Flickr gallery to see more of the ship, which measures 105cm long and 52cm high, and is over 128 studs long.
So yeah, sorry to disappoint, as I would really love a large-scale and highly detailed Nebulon Frigate UCS set, but it’s not happening as of this time… and for the record, all the top-secret LEGO builds and prototypes are hidden away from plain sight in Billund… for obvious reasons.
It’s not been a good year for the #legoleaks community, following the recent faked Force Ghost piece.
