The largest LEGO Store in the world will open its doors in Sydney on 11 November!

We now have an official opening date for the new LEGO Certified Store in Pitt St Mall, Sydney, which is set to dethrone the Leicester Square LEGO Store as the largest LEGO Store in the world!

The doors to the Sydney Store will open to the public on 11 November 2023, at 930am!

If you’re headed to the opening, keep a look out for me as I’ll be headed to Sydney to cover the opening and give you a very exclusive look at the world’s biggest LEGO Store!

The LEGO Certified Australia is also confirmed to have Australia’s very first LEGO Minifigure Factory, which allows you to customise and personalise torso designs on minifigures via a very snazzy UV printer.

There will be exclusive torso designs that you can only find via the LEGO Minifigure factory, and I’m excited to see what the Australian-exclusive torsos or print designs will look like!

Here’s one that I made during my trip to the LEGO House in Billund last month.

It’s going to be really exciting that Australia will be home to the world’s largest LEGO Store, and that it’s located in such a prominent shopping district right in the heart of Sydney CBD.

Will you be going to the opening or make plans to check it out in person?

Missed opportunity for a genuine corporate lego store carrying the full range. The VIP programs should be merged with lego corporate at least. Visiting Leicester Square and both NY stores recently, the experience is very different to what we get at lego retail here. Hoping this store brings that vibe here but again – the vip programs should be merged. It’s a mess and difficult for fans to have their loyalty truly rewarded.

Do you have any indication of how busy opening day may be? I want to surprise my boyfriend by going but not sure if it’ll be one of those things where you need to line up from like 6 in the morning or not?

    • Jay Ong says:

It’ll be very busy and you’ll likely need to line up for hours to get in, if you’re not there early enough, if it’s anything like the Leicester Square store in London.

I’m so excited about this! I’m lucky to work around the corner from Pitt St Mall, I think I know where I’m going to spend my lunch times!

  4. Robin Hull says:

This is a certified store so programmes such as the LEGO Insiders Program, LEGO gift cards and LEGO promotions aren’t valid at LEGO Certified Stores!

  5. Reader says:

I have to ask – is there likely to be any exclusives, discounts or giveaways on opening day? I will definitely visit, but am happy to wait until a later day to avoid crowds.

So excited for this! Can’t wait to see what the exclusive Aussie torso prints look like! Bummer I don’t live around the corner anymore…. Will have to plan a trip down under soon. Have been craving good coffee and decent banana bread lately anyway 😂

Literally flying over from Adelaide for it!

  8. Sean says:

It will be interesting to see the range of sets and stock levels when it opens.

It seems uneconomical for the Australian certified lego stores to sell sets long after initial release. So you tend to get a lower range of available sets compared to Lego.com or an online retailer.

I don’t blame them because it does not make financial sense to be stocking large expensive sets that are not selling. However if Pitt Street is the largest Lego store in the world, then hopefully they are capable of stocking a larger range of sets than the average certified store.

    So excited for this!
