Unboxing a LEGO Ninjago Dragons Rising mystery box!

The LEGO Ninjago team sent one of the COOLEST things I’ve ever received and here, I’m taking you an unboxing of this special package to promote the latest season of LEGO Ninjago Dragons Rising which will arrive in April 2024, as well as a whole slew of awesome Ninjago Dragons Rising sets coming in March.

It’s a special mystery box that’s custom-designed for LEGO Influencers/Content Creators, which I guess I fall into, and I’m so incredibly fortunate to be included in this project, which I get to share with you!

Note: this is a paid partnership with LEGO.

This was so unexpected but so damn cool – the box is actually personalised, with Jay’s Brick Blog written in a stylised Ninjago script, amidst some great watercolour painting-esque illustrations.

I can’t tell you how cool it is to see your blog’s name on a LEGO thing, and this is now instantly one of my most-treasured possessions in my collection.

There’s also a red 2×2 brick with some Ninjargon (Ninjago alphabet) on it, with the letters LJCN. I’m not sure what this means so I’m currently wracking my brain trying to decode it. If you know what this means, please leave a comment!

Update: Thanks to Kathryn M, looks like it could stand for the initials of Lloyd, Jay, Cole and Nya!

Here’s a look at the sides of the box, which has some LEGO string to hold it in place, and a very cool LEGO Ninjago monogram design.

And here’s a look at the back of the box. It says there are 1,250-pieces… so I guess this makes this an official LEGO set!? It even has all the typical disclosure and warning statements on it like an actual LEGO set!

Opening the box reveals 3 numbered scrolls!

And there’s also a letter with a challenge! I’m meant to make something out of this to introduce some peace and tranquility to Lloyd, so I’m currently building something that will promote mindfulness.

A very useful reminder in these anxious times.

Look out for my full reveal of the build in a week!

Here’s a look at the back of the letter.

The scrolls are seriously cool, and here’s what they look like unfurled.

The art on these is just phenomenal, and has some poetry telling the story of Lloyd’s intrusive thoughts, and the challenge to build some serenity for Lloyd to find his inner piece.

Again, the art on these are just phenomenal.

Lifting out the scrolls reveals this slight indent with the text Dragon Stone Shrine printed.

Lifting out the insert, I’m greeted by this incredible LEGO Baseplate in its own compartment!

So that’s what the 1,250-pieces is in reference to, which I guess is the number of pieces in this gorgeous custom-designed baseplate.

This will be the base where I build on to help encourage Lloyd to discover the concept of mindfulness.

Here are more shots of the details!

And lifting the insert up, comes another surprise, a copy of 71819 Dragon Stone Shrine, ahead of its 1 March 2024 release! I can’t wait to build this and incorporate it into my final build.

Oh and one final surprise, here’s a look at the base of the box, which has the LEGO Ninjago Dragons Rising logo printed on it, with some very classy flames!

This goes without saying – this is one of the coolest projects that I’ve got to work on and the contents, design and inclusions are next level cool.

As a big-ish fan of LEGO Ninjago, I’m beyond happy to receive this and can’t wait to get started on building 71819 Dragon Stone Shrine, and how I’ll incorporate it into my final build, which I’ll unveil in about a week, if all goes well!

Special thanks to LEGO for sending this Ninjago Dragons Rising Mystery Box over, and it’s such an honour to receive it!
