First look at Will Arnett’s The LEGO Batman Movie
USA Today have given us a sneak peek at the upcoming LEGO Movie spinoff, The LEGO Batman Movie, starring Will Arnett as the brick-built Caped Crusader. The LEGO Batman Movie is slated for a 10 February 2017 release date and the trailer is set to debut on Wednesday (probably Thursday in Australia).
The LEGO Batman Movie will be directed by Chris McKay, who also worked on The LEGO Movie as animation co-director.
Joining Will Arnett in the animated movie will be Alfred (voiced by Ralph Fiennes), Dick Grayson aka Robin (voiced by Michael Cera), Barbara Gordon aka Batgirl (voiced by Rosario Dawson) and also The Joker (voiced by Zach Galifianakis).
The cast-list definitely looks great and I’m looking forward to Ralph Fiennes’ take on Alfred, as well as the hilarity that will ensue with Michael Cera as Robin.
One thing we can definitely look forward to is more LEGO sets based on the movie which I’m very excited about.
The LEGO Batman Movie will kick off a whole slew of LEGO animated films, with the LEGO Ninjago Movie due to be released on 23 September 2017 and The LEGO Movie 2 which is scheduled for an 18 May 2018 release.
Exciting times for LEGO fans! I for one, cannot wait for The LEGO Batman Movie. I’ll leave you with one of my favourite parts of The LEGO Movie – Batman’s song. DARKNESS. NO PARENTS.
