LEGO Year of the Tiger (40491) gift with purchase promotion confirmed!

After the less than ideal 1 January launch, with hardly any GWPs – we finally have confirmed details of the first real January 2022 gift with purchase – 40491 Year of the Tiger!

Update: Check out my review of 40491 Year of the Tiger to see more of this adorable set in action!

The LEGO Year of the Tiger GWP will be available from LEGO.com from 10 – 27 January, and will be free with purchases of US$85 / AU$169 / £85. There’s no Canadian price yet, but hopefully the page updates soon.

Check out the offer details in the dedicated Lunar New Year pages below. You’ll have to scroll down slightly:

Huge thanks to Eunice for the heads up on this!

Here’s what to look out for.

In addition to the LEGO Year of the Tiger, you’ll also get a free 30562 Monkie Kid’s Underwater Journey polybag with purchases of any Monkie Kid or Ninjago set over US$40 / AU$109 / £40 from 10 – 27 January as well.

For those that have been collecting LEGO Chinese Zodiac animals, the Year of the Tiger set will be the 8th set to be added into the collection. I can’t believe we’re closer to the end of the collection than the beginning!

Hopefully by the 10th of January, many of the sets that were listed as on backorder, or coming soon on 1 January will be available to order!

    Hi Jay,

The GWP for the Tiger is no longer posted on the Lego (US) website. I thought the promotion runs till the 27th? Any insight about why it’s no longer available?

    Thanks.

You still quality for and get GWPs if you order something on back order during the promotional period. Just a quick note for anyone curious as you mentioned back orders. In my experience, sometimes Lego ships the GWP early and separately; sometimes they hold onto it and ship it later with the back ordered items.
