Four new LEGO Avatar sets unveiled at San Diego Comic Con (SDCC)

LEGO have revealed four new LEGO Avatar sets at San Diego Comic Con, which is running this weekend, giving us a better glimpse into the upcoming LEGO theme inspired by James Cameron’s Avatar films.

These four sets are in addition to 75574 Toruk Makto & Tree of Souls, which was unveiled at LEGO CON 2022. The LEGO Avatar theme will be released globally on LEGO.com and at most toy stores on 1 October 2022.

The slate of sets depicts scenes from the first Avatar movie, as well as the upcoming Way of the Water which premieres in cinemas in December 2022.

These sets look okay to me, there are some nice parts, but I’m still not sure what to make of them, as well as the new Avatar minifigures. The pricing is also a little all over the place – it seems a little crazy to charge US$90 for 75573 Floating Mountains Site 26 & RDA Samson – guess those new Direhorse elements don’t come cheap.

Also there doesn’t seem to be a lot of variety with minifigures, with each set including either Jake or Neytiri.
