First look at LEGO Lord of the Rings Brickheadz coming in 2023!
LEGO.com has given us a sneak peek at the upcoming set of 3 LEGO Lord of the Rings Brickheadz!
Yes you read that right – LEGO Lord of the Rings is making a comeback in 2023, albeit in Brickheadz form.. which may not be exactly what people want, but hey, LEGO is wielding the Lord of the Rings license after years of silence, so hopefully Brickheadz won’t be the last we’ll see of the theme!
The three Brickheadz doublepacks, which feature 40630 Frodo & Gollum, 40631 Gandalf the Grey & Balrog and 40632 Aragorn & Arwen will be released on 1 January 2023 from LEGO.com, and will surely be incredibly popular for fans of LEGO Lord of the Rings.
- 40630 Frodo & Gollum – US$19.99 / AU$29.99 / £17.99 / €19.99 / CAD$24.99
- 40631 Gandalf the Grey & Balrog – US$19.99 / AU$29.99 / £17.99 / €19.99 / CAD$24.99
- 40632 Aragorn & Arwen – US$19.99 / AU$29.99 / £17.99 / €19.99 / CAD$24.99
There are 3 Brickheadz revealed so far, all of which are 2-character packs – 40630 Frodo & Gollum, 40631 Gandalf the Grey & Balrog and 40632 Aragorn & Arwen.
We don’t have release dates or pricing yet, but 2-pack Brickheadz usually cost about US$19.99 / AU$29.99, so expect them to cost around that!
To find these images, you can head over to Bricks and Pieces, punch in their set names (which were revealed in the LEGO Instructions portal), and voila!
I am so happy that these are officially a thing. LEGO Lord of the Rings is one of my favourite modern themes of all time, so this means a whole lot to me.
40630 Frodo & Gollum – 184 pieces
This is super cute, we get an adorable Gollum/Smeagol who is clutchin a fish, and Frodo Baggins who has an impressive dark green cloak, as well as an Elven Brooch.
He’s got a shortsword that isn’t Sting, but I’ll allow it to pass. Maybe the Sting mould is retired 🙁
40631 Gandalf the Grey & Balrog – 348 pieces
You shall not pass! Relive the epic Maia matchup between Gandalf the Grey and the Balrog of Moria with this Brickheadz duo.
The Balrog looks awesome, and I love the use of trans-elements, as well as his tiny red whip!
40632 Aragorn & Arwen – 261 pieces
And last but not least, we have Arwen Undomiel and Aragorn, King of Gondor! Aragorn looks absolutely badass with his armour, and I love all the printed elements across his crown and armour.
