The 2022 LEGO Advent Calendar countdown season has begun!

November 30, 2022 By Jay 12 Comments

Here’s a one-stop guide to all the 2022 LEGO Advent Calendar Countdowns! This year, I’ll be counting down the Star Wars (of course), Harry Potter, Guardians of the Galaxy and Friends calendars, so the same setup as last year!

  • 2022 LEGO Harry Potter Advent Calendar
  • 2022 LEGO Friends Advent Calendar
  • 2022 Guardians of the Galaxy Advent Calendar
  • 2022 LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar

LEGO.com has sold out of the City and Star Wars Advent Calendars, but Star Wars and City is still available on Amazon.com if you want to join in the fun!

If you’re new here or to this, I post daily updates on each window of Advent Calendars, and unlike some others who prepare their content in advance, or have revealed what’s in the Advent Calendars, I’m actually opening them live daily, as I enjoy the surprise of each day’s window (even though, most is spoiled on the packaging), and my reactions are all raw as we count down to Christmas!

I’ll be posting direct links to this post, and tomorrow, I’ll begin posting sequentially from 12pm AEDT, beginning with Harry Potter, Friends, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Star Wars.

Do note that I’m based in Melbourne, Australia (GMT +11) so we’re ahead of most of the world (except New Zealand) so to avoid spoilers, try to come back to this post after you’ve opened your window and built the daily model especially if you’re located in other time zones like North America, or Western Europe.

I also typically just have the one post, and will update them as we count down, to prevent it from cluttering the blog, and your emails because there’s also a TON of exciting announcements from LEGO in December! Hint hint!

If you’d like to relive the 2021 Advent Calendar Countdown, check out last years post below!

  • 2021 LEGO Harry Potter Advent Calendar Countdown
  • 2021 LEGO Marvel Avengers Advent Calendar Countdown
  • 2021 LEGO Friends Advent Calendar Countdown
  • 2021 LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar Countdown

We have all 4. My son is opening City and SW, my daughter has Friends and HP, and my hub has Guardians. 🤣🤣🤣 Unfortunately, our HP advent days are messed up. In the 1st was actually the 23rd (not saying what the build is — no spoilers 🤫). Then we found the 2nd was switched with the 22nd. Weird.
Oh — your Friends link goes to the HP advent. 😁

As much as it has become a tradition to get the Star Wars calendar, as much has it been to turn to this blog to get a clue about what the models are of, since I’m not that well-versed in Star Wars lore. Looking forward to following, as usual!

We have Harry Potter and City this year. As much as we love Star Wars, we thought the builds looked very similar to the last few years. We hope to add the City builds to our growing Holiday House collection.

I’m behind schedule on all of my regular Lego Christmas traditions but opening Advent calendar windows and coming to read your blog posts starts tomorrow no matter how far behind I am on other things!

    I’d totally forgot about Advent.

Thanks for the reminder as my son & I love seeing what Lego lies behind the flap each day.

Must try & find the box I keep the flaps in afterwards & give the deep sections to a local school for sorting things or gardening.

Happy International @LEGO Day! The 28th of Januar Happy International @LEGO Day!

The 28th of January commemorates the date where the first patent for the iconic LEGO brick was filed with the Danish Patent and Trademark Office in Denmark by then-owner Godtfred Kirk Christiansen.

Here's a photo of the patent which is on display in the history section of the @legohouse, which I got to see last year when I visited Billund!

There's tons of incredible historical artifacts, and I've also shared some other displays that commemorated this part of LEGO's history!
