2023 LEGO Lord of the Rings Brickheadz price and release date officially revealed!

LEGO.com has officially unveiled the LEGO Lord of the Rings Brickheadz, and we now have confirmed pricing and release dates!

Update: Ahead of its release, check out my review of the LEGO Lord of the Rings Brickheadz!

The three Brickheadz doublepacks, which feature 40630 Frodo & Gollum, 40631 Gandalf the Grey & Balrog and 40632 Aragorn & Arwen will be released on 1 January 2023 from LEGO.com, and will surely be incredibly popular for fans of LEGO Lord of the Rings.

It’s unclear if LEGO are going to breathe new life into the Lord of the Rings theme beyond giving it the LEGO Brickheadz treatment, but it sure seems like a waste when so many fans are clamouring for minifigure-based sets…

Here’s hoping these do really well and send a signal to LEGO that we do really want more LEGO Lord of the Rings.

“The beacon are lit. Gondor calls for aid!”

I’ll be reviewing all three Brickheadz soon, so keep an eye out for it!

40630 Frodo & Gollum – 184 pieces

40631 Gandalf the Grey & Balrog

40632 Aragorn & Arwen

The Arwen and Aragorn set is cool.

    Hi Jay
Only problem is the people who buy LOTR mini fig sets might not go for Brick headz. I’d love to send Lego a message but just not interested in these.
    Bit of a conundrum.

PS if there is a big set to customer release Lego please make it minifig scale with mini figs- preferably an army of them

I think Aragorn and Arwen and Gandalf and the Balrog look great, but they got Frodo’s hair completely wrong and it looks terrible! I’m so sad to see the Ring Bearer getting such awful Lego treatment. Why the huge forehead and weird slicked back hairstyle? And it’s not even the right shade of dark brown! I guess I’ll be buying that set and re-doing his head from scratch to make it look more like him. It’s also sad to not get the other hobbits, but maybe if these sets do well, we’ll see them later on (and hopefully with better looking hair!).
