Buying Guide: All the new LEGO sets releasing in February 2023

January 31, 2023 By Jay Ong 3 Comments

And just like that, January 2023 is nearly over, and February is almost here, which features a small but potent selection of new releases which will especially be of interest to adult LEGO fans.

Update: Earn Double VIP points on all purchases on LEGO.com from 10 – 16 February! Also, a big selection of sets and LEGO exclusives are now on sale.

There’s a slew of awesome new sets coming out on the 1st of February 2023, with 21338 A-Frame Cabin being the most anticipated one, followed by two new Botanical Collection sets,  10313 Wildflower Bouquet and 10314 Dried Flower Centrepiece.

February is also home to Valentine’s Day, so it’s not too late to surprise a loved one or your partner with some LEGO building, especially builds that can be shared and built together.

To help you navigate and check out all the new LEGO releases in February 2023, here’s a comprehensive shopping guide to all the new LEGO sets that will be available 1 February from LEGO.com!

If you’re planning on making any purchases, please consider using these affiliate links to make any purchases, as I may earn a small commission which helps run the blog, and support the work I do here. Thank you once again for your continued support!

LEGO February 2023 GWPs (gift with purchase)

We don’t have any new updates on more February GWPs, but 40581 BIONICLE Tahu and Takua will be available from 27 January – 9 February from LEGO.com, although you’ll need spend US$95 / AU$170 / £95/ €100 / CAD$124 on City, Monkie Kid, Ninjago, Friends, Classic, DOTS, & Creator 3-in-1.

This means that all the February 2023 releases won’t trigger the Bionicle GWP.

Update: 40585 World of Wonders is available as a VIP Reward for 2700 points! The Birthday Diorama is also available in the Rewards Center too

That said, a new 40585 World of Wonders did pop up online on LEGO.com, which might be available sometime later in February after the Bionicle GWP ends, so you might want to wait a bit to find out more about the availability, dates and thresholds if this is something that you’re interested in.

LEGO Ideas 21338 A-Frame Cabin

  • 21338 A-Frame Cabin [US] – US$179.99
  • 21338 A-Frame Cabin [AUS]  – AU$279.99
  • 21338 A-Frame Cabin [UK] – £159.99
  • 21338 A-Frame Cabin [EU] – €179.99
  • 21338 A-Frame Cabin [CA] – CAD$239.99

The first LEGO Ideas set of 2023 is an exceptional one, with 21338 A-Frame Cabin impressing with its incredibly fun build, and a nature-based model that looks wonderful on display.

The A-Frame Cabin goes on sale for LEGO VIPs (free to join) on 1 February, ahead of a 4 February general release. Be sure to be logged into your VIP account if you want to order on the 1st!

It’s already one of my favourite LEGO Ideas sets ever, and will absolutely delight both experienced and new LEGO fans who are looking for an exquisite display model with plenty of personality and character.

Be sure to check out my detailed review of 21338 A-Frame Cabin to see more of it, and read what I thought of it.

Oh, and it also looks sweet next to the LEGO Ideas 21318 Tree House set!

2023 LEGO Botanical Flowers

10313 Wildflower Bouquet

  • 10313 Wildflower Bouquet [US] – US$59.99
  • 10313 Wildflower Bouquet [AUS]  – AU$99.99
  • 10313 Wildflower Bouquet [UK] – £54.99
  • 10313 Wildflower Bouquet [EU] – €59.99
  • 10313 Wildflower Bouquet [CA] – CAD$79.99

10314 Dried Flower Centrepiece

  • 10314 Dried Flower Centrepiece [US] – US$49.99
  • 10314 Dried Flower Centrepiece [AUS]  – AU$99.99
  • 10314 Dried Flower Centrepiece [UK] – £44.99
  • 10314 Dried Flower Centrepiece [EU] – €49.99
  • 10314 Dried Flower Centrepiece [CA] – CAD$79.99

LEGO’s Botanical Collection has cemented itself as a pillar of LEGO Icons, and February sees two new additions, the 10313 Wildflower Bouquet and 10314 Dried Flower Centrepiece.

These 2 new LEGO Flowers feature incredibly creative parts usage, and feature a plethora of new recoloured elements, for two drastically different display experiences

Who wouldn’t love receiving some new LEGO Flowers for Valentine’s Day, and who says you can’t gift yourself some flowers too?

40622 Disney 100th Celebration Brickheadz

40622 Disney 100th Celebration Brickheadz – US$39.99 / AU$69.99 / £39.99 / €39,99 / CAD$49.99

For Brickheadz and Disney fans, a commemorative Disney 100 Brickheadz set featuring Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, black and white Mickey, Snow White and Tinkerbell will be available from 1 February 2023 onwards.

It’s going to be a huge year for LEGO Disney Brickheadz, as there’ll be plenty more Disney-themed Brickheadz coming in March too.

40639 Bird’s Nest

40639 Bird’s Nest – US$12.99 / AU$19.99 / £10.99 / €12,99 / CAD$16.99

The first Spring and Easter-themed seasonal set of the year, 40639 Bird’s Nest will also be making its debut in February, featuring a cute Bird’s nest and young family of European robins, which are celebrating or hatching out of Easter Eggs. Peculiar, but also very cute.

31208 Hokusai: The Great Wave (Australia)

Unfortunately, it’s taken an extra month, but the long-awaited 31208 LEGO Art Hokusai The Great Wave will finally reach Australian shores on 1 February 2023!

Featuring the iconic woodblock print by Japanese artist Katsushika Hokusai, this is one of the most sophisticated and aesthetically mind-blowing LEGO sets that really elevate the LEGO Art theme.

I gave it a perfect 5-star score in my review, and its popularity has also caused it to sell out online in the US, UK and Europe, so if you’re in Australia, my recommendation is to pick this up ASAP if its on your radar as this is LEGO’s sleeper hit of early 2023.

LEGO Minifigures Series 24 (Australia)

For those of us in Australia and New Zealand, we also finally get our hands on LEGO Minifigures Series 24, so the hunt is on again for all 12 new LEGO minifigures.

This is likely going to be an extremely popular series, thanks to fans wanting to chase down the Brown Classic Space Astronaut and Spacebaby, or army-build Orcs, or Black Falcon Falconers.

Be sure to check out my review of LEGO Minifigures Series 24 for a feel guide and box map as well.

And that’s it for LEGO’s February 2023 release slate!

Clicked through your link just before dawn this morning (on the North American east coast) to order my cabin. I was on the fence about it until you posted your review, and then it was a must-have. I grew up in an A-frame house a lot like that one and have considerable fondness for them. Already got my custom “me” minifig ready to move in with his cats and some extra trees and wildlife. Can’t wait to get building. Thanks, Jay!

The LEGO Group has announced that it plans on redu The LEGO Group has announced that it plans on reducing the number of sets within its portfolio by approximately 10%, following a successful pilot program.

In corporate-speak, this means that they're looking to cancel the sets in order to free up resources across the organisation, a sign that not all is going to plan in Billund.

As this isn't going to be the easiest exercise, LEGO are going to use the LEGO Ideas platform to help decide which sets to cancel, beginning with the upcoming Jurassic Park 30th Anniversary sets which were planned for June 2023.

Here's my review of 77015 Temple of the Golden Ido Here's my review of 77015 Temple of the Golden Idol, ahead of the triumphant return of LEGO Indiana Jones in April 2023!

77015 Temple of the Golden Idol is a marvel of LEGO design, and a huge leap forward for adult-focused sets that make play features an integral part of the set experience.

For fans of LEGO Indiana Jones, this is an excellent demonstration of what’s possible when given the adults/LEGO Icons treatment, bringing to life one of the most iconic scenes and character introductions in history.

What’s truly remarkable about this set is how it integrates both being an attractive display piece with play functions that augment the entire experience. As a diorama, all the key scenes from the opening scene of Raiders are captured, allowing you to place the minifigures in different spots to re-enact your favourite moments from the Temple of the Golden Idol.

🗓 1 June 2023

It's a kid-friendly series so it makes perfect sense for LEGO to also release a kid-friendly 4+ set.

Hit the link in bio to see more 🔗

The set has 124 pieces and comes with 3 minifigures - Master Yoda, Lys Solay and Kai Brightstar. Young Jedi Adventures is set during the High Republic era, so it's neat to get a young Yoda and new alien species.

It's priced at US$39.99 / AU$64.99 / €42.99 / £37.99 / CAD$49.99 which is a little crazy for a set aimed at really young kids.

Sets that go well together ✨ Was looking for a Sets that go well together ✨

Was looking for a home to display the @lego Disney Up House and decided that it looks pretty good alongside the mini Disney Castle.

There's a bit of a size-imbalance, but they have a similar footprint, and again, I like how compact both sets are which makes displaying a breeze.

More Disney sets at this scale and size please!

Forget grainy photos, here are official photos of Forget grainy photos, here are official photos of the 3 new April 2023 LEGO GWPs!

🎁 40590 Houses of the World 2 (270 pieces)
🎁 40588 Flowerpot (292 pieces)
🎁 40589 Pirate Ship Playground

We don't have exact dates or purchase thresholds yet, but expect these to drop after the current Easter Basket GWP promotional period ends on 9 April.

Loving the look of the North African-inspired Houses of the World 2, but expecting a really high purchase threshold like Houses of the World 1.

Really looking forward to 40588 Flowerpot, which looks like it will coincide with Mother's Day, and am hoping for a fairly accessible GWP threshold. Love seeing the Trolls balloon pieces being used as a vase!

It's a 4+ set and features floats and characters from several different eras of Disney, from classic to Pixar to modern animation.

6 minifigures are included, which to most Disney fans are the real highlight of the set.

You get new Mickey and Minnie Mouse variants, Peter Pan and Tinker Bell, Woody and Moana who makes her debut as a minifigure, and expands the total number of minifigure Disney Princesses!

Depending on where you live, the set may or may not be good value, but you do get 5 new-ish and exclusive Disney minifigs, which will be the big draw to fans.
