    Buying Guide: Every new LEGO set releasing in April 2024

    April is almost here and after a massive March release wave, it’s a relatively quiet month in terms of number of new sets released.

    That said, LEGO have cleared the April release slate to allow two heavy hitters: 21348 Dungeons & Dragons: Red Dragon’s Tale and 76271 Batman: The Animated Series Gotham City to shine, so what we lack in quantity, we more than make up for in quality.

    To help you navigate through every new LEGO set being released on 1 April ruary 2024, here’s my monthly LEGO shopping and release guide!

    Joining the LEGO DnD set, and Batman: The Animated Series are 2 LEGO Space expansion sets, 42602 Space Research Rover and 60439 Space Science Lab which are great options to supplement the previously released City and Friends Space-themed sets.

    There are also two notable gifts with purchases (GWPs) in April, 40683 Flower Trellis Display and also the LEGO D&D Mimic Dice Box which is only available if you order 21348 Dungeons & Dragons: Red Dragon’s Tale, while stocks last.

    Rounding out the LEGO April 2024 releases are 42196 Lamborghini Huracan Tecnica Orange, a new Huracan colour variant, as well as two new Spider-Man Construction Figures.

    While April 2024 is going to be a relatively quiet month, Star Wars fans should already be saving up for LEGO Star Wars Day / May the 4th 2024, which should bring with it a deluge of new LEGO Star Wars sets!

    April 2024 LEGO GWPs and Promos

    For April 2024, LEGO fans will be able to look forward to 40683 Flower Trellis Display, which will be available when you spend US$150 / AU$240 / £130/ €150 or more on LEGO.com from 1-15 April 2024.

    It will then repeat again from 27 May – 9 June 2024.

    This should also stack with the LEGO D&D Mimic Dice Box if you order 21348 Dungeons & Dragons: Red Dragon’s Tale.

    You can only get the LEGO D&D Mimic Dice Box  gift with purchase when you order 21348 Dungeons & Dragons: Red Dragon’s Tale while stocks last. It has the Yellow Gift Box, which is a surefire sign that these will be made in very limited numbers, so don’t be surprised if these sell out really quickly.

    This isn’t quite a GWP, but the 40704 Micro Ninjago Docks is also widely tipped to launch in April 2024 as a LEGO Insiders Reward. It should cost 2,700 points.

    It joins 40703 Micro Ninjago City as part of a 4-set series based on the LEGO Ninjago City sets. Do note that you’ll need to redeem this Insider Reward, get a code, and input the code with an order to get the set included in your order.

    If D&D and/or Batman isn’t your cup of tea, LEGO have also brought back the 40681 Retro Food Truck, which will be a free gift when you purchase either 10326 Natural History Museum, 10312 Jazz Club or 10297 Boutique Hotel from LEGO.com.

    21348 Dungeons & Dragons: Red Dragon’s Tale – 1 April 2024 (Insiders Early Access)

    April’s flagship release is the long-awaited LEGO Dungeons and Dragons set, part of the LEGO Ideas theme and D&D’s 50th anniversary celebrations.

    It features a sprawling brick-built D&D campaign, which you can play with the included party, or make your own characters and classes to traverse through the campaign.

    Don’t forget, you’ll need to be logged into your LEGO Insiders account to get early access, plus you’ll also be able to redeem the Campaign Booklet for 2,700 points, or a free digital version via the LEGO Insiders Rewards Centre.

    If you order at launch, you might also be able to score a free LEGO D&D Mimic Dice Box GWP, plus 40683 Flower Trellis Display for hitting the April 2024 GWP spend threshold, which is not too shabby for those planning on ordering on day one.

    76271 Batman: The Animated Series Gotham City Skyline – 1 April 2024 (Insiders Early Access)

    Batman The Animated Series is back in a big way with 76271 Batman: The Animated Series Gotham, a massive textural artpiece of Gotham’s skyline littered with references and locations from Batman The Animated Series.

    I’m very excited for this one, but will likely hold off until there’s a really good GWP, sale, or Double Insider Points to make the most of my purchase.

    LEGO Space City & Friends – 1 April 2024

    Two additional LEGO Space sets will be released in April to expand your LEGO City or Friends set. 42602 Space Research Rover nicely complements the 42605 Mars Space Base and Rocket which released earlier this year, and on the LEGO City side 60439 Space Science Lab also serves as a neat way to expand 60343 Space Base and Rocket Launchpad.
