Update: Check out my review of the new LEGO Minions Rise of Gru Brickheadz to see the sets up close!
Thanks to the Australian LEGO Certified Store at Highpoint, we have our first look at one of the new Minions Rise of Gru Brickheadz – 40421 featuring minion favourites Bob and Kevin in their kung-fu costumes, and Belle Bottom, the main antagonist of the upcoming Rise of Gru movie!
LEGO Masters Australia Season 3 contestant Dawei @legonerdburger has found the set which is currently on sale at the LEGO Certified Store at Highpoint.
Minions and Brickheadz fans are going to be very happy about the prospect of more Brickheadz, and from the looks of it, the Brickheadz aesthetic translates really well for Minions!
Update: and now we have a better look at the second Minions Rise of Gru Brickheadz set – featuring Stuart, Gru and Otto courtesy of @stormythos on Instagram. The sets were designed by Design Master Marcos Bessa!
It’s a bit of an early reveal, so keep an eye out on the blog for a review of this set soon! Spoiler warning: they’re pretty cute.
In other news, LEGO stores in Australia have broken the street date for several new LEGO sets that are due to be released on 26 April, including the new wave of Minions minifigure set, and the new Carnage, Venom and Batman Cowl – which have showed up on Kmart’s website a tad early!
