January 2024 LEGO Super Mario sets revealed!
LEGO.com has unveiled the January 2024 wave of LEGO Super Mario sets, with 5 new additions to the theme.
It looks like a small wave, and what I like most is that the prices for these seem quite reasonable, and the highlight of the wave has to be 71431 Bowser’s Muscle Car Expansion Set which is a nod to the Koopa Chase from Super Mario 3D World. Looks great, and it’s quite accessible at US$29.99 / AU$49.99 and hopefully will set the stage for more Mario Kart-esque builds.
If you’re in North America, you can access 71429 Nabbit at Toad’s Shop Expansion Set and 71430 Penguin Family Snow Adventure Expansion Set early as they’ll be released on 1 December 2023, ahead of the 1 January 2024 release date for the rest of the world.
- 71428 Yoshis’ Egg-cellent Forest Expansion Set – US$9.99 / AU$14.99 / £8.99 / €9.99 / CAD$13.99
- 71429 Nabbit at Toad’s Shop Expansion Set – US$19.99 / AU$29.99 / £17.99 / €19.99 / CAD$24.99

Also, it’s now confirmed that all 2024 LEGO Super Mario sets will come with physical building instructions. You’ll still be able to build digitally through the app, but it’s nice that LEGO is now including paper instructions in the boxes.
