LEGO and Lofi Girl team up to create chill beats to build LEGO to
LEGO’s is on a collaboration-spree once again and this time, they’ve partnered with the Lofi Girl Youtube channel to create a chill lofi hip-hop playlist that serves as great background music to build LEGO to.
If you’re unaware, Lofi Girl is a popular Youtube livestreaming music channel, with lofi hip-hop beats that you can put on in the background. They’re the soundtrack of choice for those wanting some chilled out beats as you work, study or do something that requires focus without the music being too overpowering.
It’s an interesting collaboration that’s designed to reach new audiences, and with Lofi Girl being one of the most popular livestream music channels, and almost synonymous with the lofi hip-hop genre, LEGO is hoping to reach more Internet-y audiences through Lofi Girl.
The LEGO takeover begins with Lofi Girl being transformed into a brick statue, before crumbling away and turning into a minifigure, alongside her ubiquitous orange cat, and desk filled with ornaments.
The video loops for about 90 minutes, with Lofi Girl reading a tile, and taking time to look out the window as the orange cat stretches lazily. Check out the video on Youtube.
As part of this collaboration, there’s also a new LEGO Ideas Challenge, where you’re invited to submit a build that encapsulates where you’d like to escape to and relax while building and listening to music, featuring the iconic Lofi Girl character as a minifigure.
You could win some music-themed prizes, with the grand prize winner receiving 21334 Jazz Quartet, 21329 Fender Stratocaster, 21323 Grand Piano, 10312 Jazz Club, and The Lofi Girl’s Plush Collection.

I spent a lot of my time working (and blogging) listening to Lofi Girl, so this is quite a cool collaboration, and I really would’ve loved a limited release Lofi Girl minifigure. That would’ve been really cool, and something for fans to collect.
I’ll definitely have this on when I’m building my next set!
