LEGO Ideas and Target set vote gives fans a second chance for these 3 sets!
LEGO Ideas are on a hot streak! Following yesterday’s reveal of Vincent Van Gogh: The Starry Night), LEGO Ideas have announced an exclusive collaboration with Target (USA) where fans will have the chance to vote for 3 previously unsuccessful LEGO Ideas project, for a second chance at being turned into an official LEGO Ideas set.
The fan vote will run from 17 May 2022 10:00am EST to 31 May 2022 10:00am EST, you will have one vote and one vote only! You can cast your vote here. The winning set will be announced in August 2022, if all goes to plan.
Before you start panicking about regional exclusivity, the winning set will have almost the same availability as regular LEGO Ideas sets – with the exception of in the United States, where it will be exclusively available through Target in addition to LEGO Brand Retail stores and the LEGO online shop.
So yes, it won’t be an ultra-rare regional/retailer exclusive.
Here’s a look at the three sets vying for their second lease at life:
Working Mini Golf Course – Fully Playable by LEGOParadise
Viking Village by BrickHammer
Marine Life by Brick Dangerous
These are all superb models, and in a previous life, I would have voted for Working Mini Golf with no hesitation… BUT… because LEGO have brought Vikings back with 31132 Viking Ship and Midgard Serpent, my vote went to the Viking Village.
Either way, I will be happy with either choice, and LEGO sleected these three sets to represent 3 different types of builds.
- Marine Life is an alluring display piece
- Viking Village is a challenging historical build
- Golf Course is an interactive set with endless possibilities
Be sure to cast your vote on the LEGO Ideas website before the 31st of May!
Which set are you voting for, and would you like to see LEGO Ideas do more of these out-of-cycle fan votes?
