More photos of LEGO City 60336 Freight Train and 41714 Andrea’s Theatre School surface
After some low-resolution photos of the 60336 Freight Train and 41714 Andrea’s Theatre School popped up on LEGO’s instructions page, we now have a better look at both sets courtesy of the LEGO Instructions Plus app!
After an unusually train-less year in 2021, it looks like LEGO Train fans are in for a great 2022, with the return of trains to LEGO City.
60336 Freight Train
The set features a modern locomotive, and 3 railway wagons carrying what seems to be a container of fruit trees, 2 electric cars and a solar-powered EV-charging station, and a functional forklift.
The set comes with 6 minifigures – a farmer, car salesperson, fruit customer, forklift driver, and 2 railway workers.
The newly revealed City box art, also provides further proof that we are indeed heading towards the more rural, and agriculture-focused parts of LEGO City, as you can see in the background of the box art, with the Farmer’s minifigure torso also showcasing the new Farm logo with a sunrise over a valley.
Like all modern motorised LEGO sets, the set is powered up by Powered Up, which hasn’t exactly been fully embraced by fans, but good for those starting to motorise and bring their LEGO creations to life.
41714 Andrea’s Theatre School
We also get a more detailed look at what is shaping up to be one of the most attractive LEGO Friends set yet (and the perfect stage for the LEGO Muppets Minifigures) – 41714 Andrea’s Theatre School, which will also be released on 1 June 2022 thanks to Ask-Bricks24.nl
Four minidolls are included in the set, from L-R: Freya, Ollie, Professor Adrian and Andrea.
The new set of images also reveals that the theatre can be closed to reveal a beautiful exterior, complete with Greco Roman columns, and more more interestingly, an awesome reference to Noctura from LEGO Elves!
For a refresher, Noctura was the antagonist in the fourth and final wave of LEGO Elves, and featured in sets such as 41194 Noctura’s Tower and the Earth Fox Rescue!
Noctura isnt the only reference hidden in it – there’s also interchangeable backdrops for the stage, with what I believe is also a nod to 375 Castle, one of the most iconic and historic sets in LEGO’s history!
Special thanks to The Brick Fan and Promobricks for the heads up on additional images.
The Summer 2022 previews are only just getting started, and I cannot wait to see what else LEGO has in-store for us! To see a partial selection of set numbers, and names, check out the Summer 2022 LEGO previews.
