New LEGO Ahsoka sets revealed at SDCC, plus a scary buildable Chewbacca model

LEGO.com has revealed three new Star Wars sets, also set to debut at San Diego Comic Con 2023, with two all-new sets based on the upcoming Ahsoka TV series, and an incredibly scary buildable model of everyone’s favourite Wookie, Chewbacca.

Yes, the LEGO 75371 Chewbacca model is real. Real scary. Like you know, a real Wookie.

All three sets will arrive on 1 September 2023, and can be be pre-ordered now from LEGO.com, just in time for the premiere of Ahsoka which debuts on Disney+ on 23 August 2023.

For those in America, you can also pre-order 75362 Ahsoka Tano’s T-6 Jedi Shuttle and 75364 New Republic E-Wing vs. Shin Hati’s Starfighter on Amazon.com.

If you plan on pre-ordering, please consider using the affiliate links above as I may receive a small commission which helps support the work I do on the blog.

This looks like an exceptionally strong wave, much more compelling than the August 2023 wave, and fans will be delighted to finally get a close look at the new Ahsoka Tano minifigure.

It’s been over 12 years since the last Jedi T-6 Shuttle set – 7931 Jedi T-6 Shuttle which was released way back in 2011, and this new ship featured a bold new red and grey colour scheme, and a sensational lineup of minifigures.

75362 Ahsoka Tano’s T-6 Jedi Shuttle comes with a brand new 2023 Ahsoka Tano, Sabine Wren, Professor Huyang and Marrok (The Inquisitor) minifigures, which is really strong, and will likely sell very well on the strength of the price and minifigures alone.

Excitingly, Star Wars fans are finally treated to the very first LEGO E-Wing Starfighter, with 75364 New Republic E-Wing vs. Shin Hati’s Starfighter, which also include Shin Hati’s Starfighter.

For a Goth/Emo sith lord, I really wasn’t expecting a starburst-coloured Starfighter, but I’ll take it in this case.

And last but not least, we shan’t forget that 2023 celebrates the 40th Anniversary of Return of the Jedi, and what better way to commemorate the milestone than release 75371 Chewbacca, a fully brick-built statue of the fiercesome Wookie.

It’s… certainly something, and it stands 18 inches (46 cm) tall, so if you’ve ever wanted a 2,319-piece LEGO Wookie statue, your time has come.

And yes, Chewie’s generous buns are part of the build, so really, this is simultaneously the greatest and most horrific LEGO Star Wars set. I’m excited for this and commend the LEGO Star Wars’ team for taking this challenge on, even if no one was really asking for this.

But it’s here, and we must worship the giant LEGO Chewbacca statue, lest it rips our arms off.
