It’s the 1st of June and while everyone is busy putting in orders for all the new LEGO June 2023 releases, LEGO has given us a sneak peek of new, unrevealed sets via the Second Half of 2023 LEGO Catalogue!
The Japanese LEGO Second Half of 2023 Brand Catalogue is now available to be perused and gives us a glimpse of a large number of new sets coming in August and beyond!
The big focus for LEGO in the second half is LEGO Dreamzzz, which has a very prominent spot on the cover and 3 full page spreads.
We also get our very first look at 75365 Yavin 4 Rebel Base, which features a large playset boasting 12 minifigures and 2 droids coming in August 2023.
It’s a little light on details, but we also get our very first look at the 2023 LEGO Star Wars Advent Calendar, and you can just make out Palpatine in a festive red Christmas jumper, as well as a festive Ewok as well.
Here’s a look at the LEGO Harry Potter, Marvel, Star Wars and City Advent Calendars coming in October 2023!
For LEGO Sonic fans, we also get a look at 76993 Egg Man Mech, which will join the rest of the new LEGO Sonic theme which will be released in August 2023!
Over to licensed themes, we also get our first look at 76419 Hogwarts Castle, a microscale take of the larger and more expensive Hogwarts Castle that will be released in September 2023.
I’ve seen this in person, and I really like it – it’s much smaller, more practical to display and is also far more affordable than the mega-sized version.
We also get a look at 76262 Captain America’s Shield, joining the ever-growing collection of big Marvel objects. It’s huge in person, but looking at the design, do expect plenty of repetition. The LEGO Captain America shield will be available in August 2023.
LEGO Friends fan can also look forward to 2 Winter-themed sets with 41756 Ski Slope and Cafe and 41760 Igloo Holiday set, both of which will be available in September 2023.
We also get a look at the new 2023 LEGO Friends Advent Calendar which features Autumn!
Over on the LEGO City side of town, we have 60367 Passenger Plane, which will be released in September 2023. Among other things, it features an uncommon V-Tail design!
It won’t be Christmas without a City Advent Calendar, and here’s a look at the 2023 LEGO City Advent Calendar. With LEGO City undergoing a huge transformation in 2023, I’m really interested to see if the design changes also extend to the Advent Calendar. I also hope we get that Mrs Claus minifigure that’s featured on the cover!
On to LEGO Minecraft, here’s a look at a bunch of new sets coming in August 2023!
LEGO Technic fans can also look forward to a new 42161 Lamborghini Huracan, in its iconic lime green colour scheme. It’ll be in the same scale as the McLaren Senna, Bugatti Bolide, and NASCAR Next Gen Chevrolet Camaro ZL1!
And last but not least, here’s a look at the LEGO Technic 42160 Audi RS Q e-tron, which will be available in August 2023!
And that’s it for some of the new sets revealed in the most recent LEGO Brand Catalogue! We should get product pages and more official imagery soon, but this gives us a nice little preview of new sets coming in August and September 2023!
In case you missed it, be sure to check out all the new June 2023 releases!

I personally think there is too much new lego sets out in the market. I miss the simpler times of more affordable sets released at a wallet-friendly pace. In this waves of sets, it is a floodgate of information; I miss the old 2010s catalogues which I am better able to appreciate.

i agree ive built 100 kits since covid in my opinion the more wallett friendly kits are better engineerd and the prices are get stupid

Please excuse me, Jay, but are you going to totally gloss over LEGO Set #42140, let alone not explain what that set is on there? I do believe that is also a new LEGO Set and that it also needs to be mentioned on your blog, but, at the same time, I literally know nothing about what that set is, or even its name. Please correct the omission of that particular information from that particular LEGO Set…thank you.
Jay Ong says
Oh, 42140 is actually an old set which came out last year!

The Hogwarts castle looks amazing, stylized as the Architecture series, even with the name plate!

A couple of months ago I did my own microscale rendition using the 30435 polybag pieces only (look for Wizarding School Castle Microscale on Rebrickable).
Jay Ong says
Yeah, this is great. LEGO have a real winner with this one.
