The world’s largest LEGO Store is opening in Sydney soon!

Good news, Sydneysiders! LEGO Australia have officially announced that a brand new LEGO Store is headed to the Sydney CBD and it is set to be the LARGEST LEGO Store in the world!

Update: The Sydney CBD LEGO Store will open its doors to the public on 11 November 2023 at 930am!

Yup, you read that right! Australia will soon host the biggest LEGO Store in the world, dethroning the Leicester Square Flagship Store. The official opening date will be announced in the coming weeks, so get excited!

Situated over two floors, the 900sqm landmark new store will be found in Sydney Arcade, overlooking Pitt Street Mall, to provide a world-class new experience for LEGO fans.

The new Sydney CBD Store will offer everything you could expect from a LEGO Store, PLUS Australia’s very first LEGO Minifigure Factory which allows you to personalise your own LEGO Minifigure by printing custom text, designs and more on your minifigures in-store.

Apart from that, staples like a Pick and Build Wall, Build a Minifigure Stations and hands-on play areas will be there too.

This is yet another vote of confidence from The LEGO Group in Australia, cementing my country’s position as one of the best in the world to be a LEGO fan.

I really can’t wait to check it out in person, and I’m particularly excited that there’ll be a Minifigure Factory Down Under.

Stay tuned for the official opening date!

Hello. Any news on the Sydney CBD Lego store opening date yet, please?

  2. Mary says:

Do we have a opening date yet? I want to book leave for work.

  3. Ollie says:

My Son is going to go mental when we visit.. currently Lego store @ dreamworld is our biggest Lego store. now I just have to visit Sydney…

  4. Djamba says:

“Something big is coming”… Yes, the prices.

  5. Reader says:

This is exciting to see and finally a store that’s generally accessible to the greater Sydney area. But what are the limitations? If it’s not run by Lego themselves, you can’t get VIP/Insider points on purchases. Very likely that all sets will be full-priced as well, when there are generally discounts and sales from other retailers. Hopefully it’ll have more features like the minifigure factory and pick a brick wall to make it a good place to visit.

    • Jay Ong says:

Minifigure Factory will be the biggest draw, plus it’s probably the most accessible store as it’s right smack in the middle of the CBD. Great for tourists.

I’m really hoping for plenty of attractions and builds in it, similar to what they’ve done with Leicester/New York to be really on that flagship level.

  6. Nichole says:

They already have 7 in Sydney, they even have one in Townsville!!! How about spreading the love to other larger regional areas?? Would love to go to one for the experience, even if they where just smaller stores as not everyone that is a Lego fan can drive 1.5+ hrs to get to the closest Melbourne store and Geelong is a pretty large place now, getting the hint Lego??? GEELONG is a big place!! lol 🙂

    • Artur Golla says:

100 % agree specially to announce the world greatest Store will move to Australia, the most farest point in the world so the least amount of people and fans can ever visiting the biggest lego store in the world. the london location was great easy to the majority of people to visit, may be would build an bigger one somewhere in europe but australia is far far away for the most of fans.

    • Jay Ong says:

I think one will eventually come to Geelong. It makes a lot of sense given the population boom out there, and in the West too.

  7. Andrew says:

Jay, do you happen to know if it’s a company-owned store, or another in the chain of LCS around the country? I ask because in my view the stores here aren’t a patch on the best international stores featured in YouTube. I was excited to go to Melbourne Central one release day but there were few new sets built, boxes everywhere and empty shelves.

I feel like our stores here are definitely on a budget compared to stores like Leicester Square.

    • Scott says:

It’s (sadly) another chain operated store.

      • Andrew says:

That’s a shame. Hopefully it’s not just a bigger version of existing stores and is treated (and funded) like a flagship, to make it worth the trip.

    • Jay Ong says:

I’ve confirmed that it’s a LEGO Certified Store, but they need to call it a “LEGO Store” for branding purposes.

Hopefully with this being the biggest, it’ll get some extra special treatment on the same level as Leicester/New York.

  8. Be bop a skiddly doo guess what Australia I love you

  9. This will be something I will have to go to!

  10. Kasia says:

How will I have holidays before my studies, i.e. from 27.06. 2031 then I will fly there by plane.

  11. Jeff Cooper says:

    big just like their prices!

  12. S.J says:

    man
I wish they had it in perth

  13. Scott says:

Here’s hoping that unlike every other Lego brand store in Sydney, that Pitt St pick a brick wall gets new pieces on a regular basis and new stock on shelves on release date instead of days/weeks later.

I’m surprised it took so long to get a central Sydney store, Broadway is close but also not at all close to central Sydney.

  14. Danni says:

They should turn the Myer Centre in Brisbane into a multi level LEGO store. Brissy always misses out on the good stuff.

  15. Jamie says:

Now I finally have a reason to go to Sydney 😉 Would love to see more Lego stores in Adelaide too!
