Just how tall is the LEGO Avengers Tower?

The LEGO Avengers Tower is one of the most anticipated releases of 2023, and will be released on Black Friday, 24 November 2023 which is perfect if you’re planning to treat yourself to this gargantuan build.

At US$499.99 / AU$759.99, it doesn’t come cheap, but with 31 Marvel figures (the most in any single retail set), and its massive size, it does exactly what’s promised on the box – delivering the ultimate LEGO Avengers set that you can assemble.

But just how big is the set? I’ll be splitting my review of 76269 Avengers Tower into 3 parts, and in this post, I’ll be focusing on just how tall the LEGO Avengers Tower is.

The LEGO Avengers Tower measures 90cm / 35.4 inches tall, instantly catapulting it into the ranks of the tallest LEGO sets of all time, but just how tall is 90cm? Let me put it side by side with some other equally and historically tall sets, as well as give you a sense of what this set looks like attached to a Modular Street.

It is after all, the 3rd in the line of Marvel Modulars, allowing you to connect to 76178 Daily Bugle, and/or 76218 Sanctum Sanctorum.

In its heyday, the LEGO Ideas 21311 Voltron was one of the tallest sets, and still one of the biggest LEGO mechs around. LEGO Voltron stands 45cm / 17.75in tall, just about half the height of the Avengers Tower!

One of the tallest minifigure-scale sets ever was 10237 Tower of Orthanc, which was released a decade ago in 2013. It’s one of my favourite sets of all time, and still towers over most of the sets I have on display. At 73cm / 28 in. tall though… it puts up a good fight but Saruman won’t be happy that a new tall neighbour has moved in next door, obstructing his view.

Another tall and imposing set is 75313 UCS AT-AT, which is one of the largest UCS sets that LEGO has produced, and certainly the tallest in its class. The UCS AT-AT gets plenty of compliments due to its size and scale, but you can see how small it looks alongside the Avengers Tower.

The LEGO UCS AT-AT measures 62cm/24.5 in. tall, nowhere close enough to challenge Earth’s Mightiest Heroes’ headquarters.

Here’s how it looks connected to the other Marvel skyscraper, 76178 Daily Bugle.

The Bugle is a fan-favourite Marvel set, and comes in at 82cm/32 in, with the Avengers Tower besting it by about 3 inches. That said, they look great alongside each other and I also really like that the Daily Bugle and Avengers logo line up perfectly with one another.

And here’s how the LEGO Avengers Tower looks like when attached to both the 76178 Daily Bugle, and 76218 Sanctum Sanctorum. While the Daily Bugle does manage to keep up with the Avengers Tower, it does make the Sanctum look incredibly tiny!

The Sanctum Sanctorum isn’t a small building by any measurement, measuring 32cm/12.5 in. which is a typical LEGO Modular building height.

For those curious about how the LEGO Avengers Tower looks like next to a bunch of Modulars, here it is set up in a street format, flanked by 76178 Daily Bugle, 10278 Police Station on one side, and 10326 Natural History Museum and 76218 Sanctum Sanctorum on the other.

The Police Station measures 37cm/14.5 in. high, and the Modular Museum comes in at 31cm/12 in. to place things into perspective.

There are very few sets that are taller than the LEGO Avengers Tower, but the one that truly puts it in its place is the tallest LEGO set of all time – 10307 Eiffel Tower which dwarfs it thanks to its 149 cm/58.5in height!

And here’s a group shot with some other tall LEGO sets. The legendary 21309 NASA Apollo Saturn V is also one of the few sets taller than the Avengers Tower, slightly edging it out thanks to its 100cm/39in. height.

Pictured in this photo is 41748 Heartlake City Community Center (41cm/6 in.), 10237 Tower of Orthanc (73cm / 28 in), 76178 Daily Bugle (82cm/32 in.), 21309 NASA Apollo Saturn V (100cm/39in.) and 10307 Eiffel Tower (149 cm/58.5in).

And as a bonus, here’s the LEGO Avengers Tower next to some other really tall sets, including the 43222 Disney Castle which measures 80cm/32in. tall!

Hope this helps illustrate just how tall the 76269 Avengers Tower, as well as help you picture how it looks alongside other Marvel and Modular sets that you might be planning to integrate it into!

In my next feature on the LEGO Avengers Tower, I do a deep dive into the Minifigure Lineup, so keep an eye out for it!
