Buying Guide: Every new LEGO set releasing in June 2022

It’s the 1st of June 2022 tomorrow, which is a hugely important month for LEGO releases because it marks the second half of LEGO’s full year (also known as 2HY), and with it, comes a massive release slate!

Some of the most anticipated releases of the year are also scheduled to launch on 1 June, with big hitters like 10302 Optimus Prime and 42143 Technic Ferrari Daytona SP3 when they arrive on LEGO.com or your local LEGO store.

To help you navigate all the new LEGO releases coming in June 2022, I’ve put together this comprehensive guide on all the new sets that will be available!

You can also expect the new wave of Summer 2022 sets from LEGO City, Ninjago, Harry Potter, Friends, Minecraft, Dots, Marvel Super Heroes and so much more.

Update: LEGO Muppets have also released in Australia. You can pick up a 6-pack box on Amazon Australia for AU$25.51 while stocks last!

If you’re planning on securing a copy of 10302 Optimus Prime, you’ll want to be on LEGO.com just before midnight, and check out as soon as possible, as it’s set to be one of LEGO’s biggest and most hyped releases ever, and I will guarantee that it sells out instantly. Either that, or line up outside your local LEGO Store early, if you want to get it ASAP.

The LEGO Summer 2022 release dates are also all over the place globally, with some sets/themes launching later in North America (US & Canada), and some late arrivals in Australia too.

Here’s a handy table on the release dates in major regions across the world. Some of the Australian ones are a little dodgy, and I don’t trust some of the dates on LEGO.com.

LEGO Gift with Purchase Offers – June 2022

Looks like they either made too many, or most of you have been waiting for the 2nd half of 2022 releases to spend, but the 40533 Cosmic Cardboard Adventures promotion has been extended to 14 June 2022 in the US and Europe.

You can qualify for this GWP by spending US$160 / £160 or more in one order.

This is great news as all the new June 2022 releases will qualify you for the set – while stocks last obviously.

See below for the direct links to LEGO GWPs, Offers and Promotions section:

This was revealed a little earlier but there will also be another GWP, mid-month, with 40567 Forest Hideout being available from 15 – 30 June in China.

Expect global release dates to follow closely, but we’ll know more when LEGO releases the full promotional details.

That said, if you were thinking of qualifying for the GWP with some of the heavy hitter sets like 10302 Optimus Prime or 42143 Ferrari Daytona SP3, you might want to rethink your plans as they are likely to be be sold out almost immediately at launch.

Also expect the threshold to be high-ish, as is the case with most GWPs these days.

10302 Optimus Prime

The big daddy himself, and one of the most hyped LEGO sets of all time – 10302 Optimus Prime drops on the 1st of June, and if this set doesn’t sell out in the first few hours, I’ll eat a hat.

Optimus is fully-transformable, and is an unprecedented collaboration between LEGO and Hasbro, and to this moment, it feels so surreal that it’s actually almost available for purchase.

Be sure to check out my review of 10302 Optimus Prime to see more of the set. You’ll want to set your alarms and be ready to pull the trigger at midnight, or line up early in front of a LEGO Store, because this will be one of the toughest sets to get your hands on in 2022.

42143 Ferrari Daytona SP3

For Technic supercar fans, the 42143 Technic Ferrari Daytona SP3 needs little to no introduction, and is ready to join your garage on the 1st of June 2022.

This is probably going to be extremely popular, especially for fans of the Prancing Horse, and/or Technic, especially as Ferrari is having a great start to the 2022 F1 season. Just don’t look up what happened in Monaco.

Don’t forget, the Sense of Perfection Ferrari Coffee Table book (only 5,000 copies worldwide) will also release on 1st June. It will be available in the US, UK and EU for: US$79.99£69.99 , €79.99.

See more photos of the set in the official reveal.

21058 Great Pyramid of Giza

Fans of Ancient Egypt, and ancient Architecture are in for a treat with the release of 21058 Great Pyramid of Giza on 1 June 2022.

The latest wonder of the ancient world is an extremely attractive and educational model that lets you build the Great Pyramid of Giza in all its ancient splendour.

This is going on my shopping list for sure – possibly a good one to get to qualify for the Forest Hideout GWP, as I don’t think it’ll sell out immediately.

Check out more photos, and my first impressions in the 21058 Great Pyramid of Giza reveal.

31206 The Rolling Stones

Also releasing on the 1st is the latest art set, 31206 The Rolling Stones which introduces a brand new format for the LEGO Art theme, with a buildable 3D piece depicting the iconic tongue and lips logo.

It’ll be available from 1 June in the UK, and the EU, 1 July in Australia, and North America getting it on 1 August 2022.

I really like this one, and the direction that LEGO Art is heading towards – look out for a review soon!

LEGO Star Wars N-1 Starfighter

At long last after being revealed way back in February 2022, the 75325 The Mandalorian’s N-1 Starfighter will now be available from 1 June 2022!

Finally, you’ll be able to get Mando’s Naboo Starfighter, as well as the new Din Djarin minifigure which features his face under the helmet!

In Australia, it’s now available online! it’ll be available from 15 June 2022

21333 LEGO Ideas Vincent Van Gogh: The Starry Night

Not technically a “new” June release, but 21333 Vincent Van Gogh: The Starry Night was previously only available to VIPs. The set goes on general sale. In the US, where the VIP Early Access sets were sold out, there’s a high chance of a small restock, as more allocated sets get released on the 1st.

In case you missed it, check out my review of 21333 The Starry Night!

Harry Potter Summer 2022

The Summer 2022 wave of Harry Potter set release dates are all over the place. In North America (US & Canada), most of the sets will be available from 19 June 2022, with the exception of 40560 Professors of Hogwarts which just says coming soon.

In the UK and Europe, all sets will be available from 1 June 2022 onwards.

In Australia, it’s even more confusing with 76407 The Shrieking Shack & Whomping Willow available on 1 June, 76408 12 Grimmauld Place on 23 June, and the rest of the wave being available on 1 August. It makes zero sense, unless they misplaced a few shipping containers. Oh and 40560 Professors of Hogwarts is not even on the site.

To add even more confusion, the LEGO Certified Store, and Dreamworld LEGO Store have them listed as available from early June, so who the heck knows what’s going on?

LEGO City Summer 2022

Most of the Summer 2022 City sets will be out on the 1st of June for Australia, and the UK. The US looks to have the range split up into 2 halves, with some sets like 60346 Barn & Farm Animals available from the 1st of June, but the other half of the wave with highly anticipated sets like 60347 Grocery Store coming on 1 August 2022.

LEGO Creator 3-in-1 Summer 2022

Creator 3-in-1 returns with some more nostlagia-fuelled updates, such as 31132 Viking Ship and the Midgard Serpent which brings back LEGO Vikings for 2022!

Unfortunately, Creator 3-in-1 used to be the bastion of value and affordable sets, but they seemed to have been affected by some price hikes. While I like 31131 Downtown Noodle Shop, I would only buy these sets on sale, or if there’s a good GWP.

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Summer 2022

Marvel fans have 2 new sets to look forward to – 76216 Iron Man Armoury and a new brick-built companion, 76217 I Am Groot! These release on 1 June 2022 worldwide.

Check out my review of 76216 Iron Man Armoury to see more of the set, and the brand new Iron Man helmets, which have been quite divisive among LEGO Iron Man fans.

76217 I Am Groot

LEGO Ninjago Crystalised Summer 2022

Ninjago Season 15 (Crystalised) sets all drop on the 1st of June in the UK/EU, but North America (US & Canada) will have to wait for 1 August 2022 to get into the Summer 2022 wave, which brings back many familiar faces, and introduces a new villain – The Crystal King.

The Australian release date is another confusing one. On LEGO.com, the sets are all listed as available on 1 August 2022, but on the LEGO Certified Store website, they’re listed as being available on 1 June 2022…. so I think the online store listing is incorrect.

LEGO Friends

LEGO Minecraft Summer 2022

All new LEGO Minecraft Summer 2022 sets launch on 1 June in the US, UK and EU.

Again, Australia availability is inconsistent as the website says 1 August 2022, but LEGO Certified Stores say it’ll be available on 1 June 2022. So just refresh at midnight to see.

LEGO Dots Summer 2022

Dots are back with more innovation – in the Summer 2022 wave, you can now personalise stitch-on patches, allowing you to affix Dots to your apparel!

LEGO Monkie Kid Summer 2022

We’ll also be treated to another small, but excellent Monkie Kid Summer 2022 wave, featuring a seriously awesome 80039 The Heavenly Realms!

Australia, UK, and the EU will be getting these new Monkie Kid sets on 1 June 2022, but North America will have to wait till 1 August 2022.

It’s unfortunate that all these sets are on the higher end of the price scale, but despite the high price tags, Monkie Kid sets are still one of the best designs that LEGO currently have on offer.

LEGO Disney Summer 2022

More Mickey and Friends 4+ sets are on the way with an awesome Castle-themed set which sees Mickey in a suit of armour, Minnie as an archer, Donald Duck as a jester, and Daisy as a fairy.,

For fans of Disney Princess, we’re getting a new 43206 Cinderella and Prince Charming’s Castle which sees the evil stepmother Lady Tremaine make her debut as a minidoll. It’s also packed to the rafters with new opalescent pieces!

The new Disney sets will be available in Australia, the UK and EU on 1 June 2022, and in North America from 1 August 2022!

New LEGO Classic Summer 2022 Sets

These new Classic sets will arrive in Australia, the UK, and EU on 1 June 2022, and North America on 1 August 2022.

New Duplo Summer 2022 Sets

Duplo is not something I focus on, but I’ve just had a newborn son, so I’m back in the market for Duplo, and I won’t lie – I’m super excited for the Summer 2022 wave of Duplo sets.

Featuring sets chockful of animals from all the major continents of the world. The RRP is a little too high for my tastes, BUT Duplo often goes on sale/special so I’ll be keeping an eye out for these sets when they get to approximately 30% off.

Will you be adding any of the June 2022 releases to your collection?

That’s it for the June 2022 release guide! As always, there may be surprises from LEGO and new announcements – especially on/after LEGO CON 2022 on 18 June 2022, where it’s anticipated that we’ll get our first look at the 90th Anniversary set, as well as announcements and reveals from other themes.

Did you eat that hat yet?

  2. StarBoy says:

My big targets for the June releases are the 3-in-1 sets, but I’ll be waiting for a sale. I’ve already spotted the Noodle Shop at Big W for $49, so I’ll hold out for an eventual 20% off sale to get it even cheaper. No sign of the Viking Longship or Sunken Treasure Mission though… Am definitely interested in what their Big W prices will be!

Whatever happens, I refuse to miss out on the Forestmen GWP. I don’t care what I need to buy to get it, I’ll be getting it! Just hope some of my wishlist is back in stock when it becomes available…!

    • Jay says:

Same here – I did pounce on the Viking ship on sale – at 30% off, it’s a decent buy, if a tad overpriced.

Yeah same, thankfully, stock levels seem to be pretty good in Australia, so fingers crossed there’ll be a restock of cool sets. I have the Pyramid, and some Monkie Kid sets I’m eyeing to qualify for the GWP!

  3. Mike says:

Where is all the other stuff like Technic, Creator Expert, Speed Champions etc? This is all just depressing branded theme stuff…. apart from the Ferrari (which is not even a certainty for me) there is not one other set I’d want to buy. Seems to me TLC is just selling out to themes now days.

  4. Walter says:

I don’t know, who is responsible for “I am Groot” – but THANK YOU for that! This set is a MUST HAVE! I never thought to fall in love with something again in my life but this is so cute 🙂

Another must have is the hungarian horntail. Fits perfect to Hedwig and Fawkes!

And i guess LEGO will finally ruins me this year 🙂 They have released so many fantastic sets until now and 2022 is allmost 5 month old 🙂 I’m scared what’s to come…..

    • Jay says:

It’s a really fun set, and despite a few stability issues, and rigid hips, is still a lot of fun.

We haven’t even seen all the releases yet! They’re probably saving all the big guns closer to Christmas.

  5. CloneyO says:

It must be tough and frustrating compiling all of those info. Well done!

For Aussies, the Harry Potter Shrieking Shack set has already been popping up in Kmarts (spotted in Melbourne and Sydney at least), but none of the other new Harry Potter sets yet.

    • Jay says:

No worries, happy to help people with handy information, especially when release dates/windows are staggered and can be quite confusing!

Had to edit this one so many days when it turned out the Harry Potter wave did indeed pop up in June!

  6. Andrew says:

Very helpful summary and very much appreciated, thanks Jay. Have already caved in on Starry Night, hopefully it’s as good as it looks

  7. Danni says:

Oh man, when is the Motorised Lighthouse coming. I NEED it lol not really but it’s cool and I don’t want to miss it l.
