LEGO Ideas 21343 Viking Village sneak peek!

Update: LEGO has officially revealed the 21343 Viking Village and you can now pre-order the set from LEGO.com

Ahead of LEGO’s official reveal, French retailer Fnac has given us a sneak peek of the upcoming 21343 Viking Village, the next LEGO Ideas set that is slated for a 1 October 2023 reveal.

This 2,103-piece set is a tidy little playset diorama depicting a traditional LEGO viking village built on the shoreline, and looks fabulous. I’m a big fan of the Viking aesthetic as well as LEGO’s heritage of Viking sets.

The Viking Village was the winner of the LEGO Ideas x Target fan vote last year and in the US, it will be a Target retailer exclusive, but will also be available direct from LEGO.com or LEGO Stores, where it will be priced at US$140 / €140.

See below for regional pricing and product pages

We only have lowres photos available, but the listing does give us a good enough look at the four minifigures included in the set, as well as the features and functions.

The LEGO Ideas Viking Village set is designed with play and displayability at the forefront, with a nice selection of minifigures as well as easy access to the interiors.

I most like the size of the set, and that it looks great from all angles.

This’ll be a great time addition to the recent 31132 Viking Ship and the Midgard Serpent Creator set, or if you have any of the older Viking sets from 2005-2006, I reckon they’ll go very well with this modern 2023 LEGO Viking Village.

Looking at the very respectable price and overall model, I can imagine that 21343 Viking Village will be popular with LEGO fans and Castle/Fantasy fans with its very tight design.

I’m really excited for this and can’t wait to review it on the blog!

Viking sets always ruined by helmets with horns. Never wore them, ever. I am totally disappointed that this has never been corrected.
    Not for me.

A bunch of valkyries that will curry ya, it seems…

I wish this had been incorporated with ” How to train your Dragon” as tbe village looks very similar to the movie. I would LOVE a “How to train your Dragon” set!

Is it just me, or did the original Viking Village Village by BrickHammer look better? I was really stoked about the original, but after looking at the photos of the original the official release I will probably pass. It’s not that Lego’s version is not good, just I don’t think it was as great as BrickHammer’s.

I definitely think they lost the “dark” feeling the original piece casted by elongating the entire set instead of having it be tall, spacing the houses farther apart, and then especially with using the “red brown” and brighter “Cerulean blue” bricks instead of the original dark brown and darker blue bricks.
Instead of the original LOTR/GoT vibes Brickhammer gave us, it now feels more “How to Train Your Dragon” to me.

I think it’ll go great alongside the Medieval Blacksmith!

I agree. I was really excited when I saw the original design, but Lego’s does nothing for me. I guess I can save some cash.
